Tibb Photography Contest: Round 1 Themes [CONTESTANTS READ]

Welcome! To Round 1 of Tibb's Photography Contest.
Get your cameras at the ready. as here are the themes for this round.

So here they are, nice and easy for Round 1.

GROUP 1 (Callum, Christina, Conor, Fom, Lemon_Jam, Scampi.)

Theme: Standing Out From The Crowd.
This week your asked to take a picture of something that stands out from everything else.


GROUP 2 (Double Trouble, GhettoSuperstar, Gemmer-x, pinkmichk, Nickyy,Magic,Pj.)

Theme:Motion.
This theme you are asked to take a picture based on "Motion." Something moving or in action.



So there are the themes;;
- Remember entries must be in by Thursday 18th September before 6.00 pm
- U2U your entries to Xander


Rules
- You are not allowed to copy images off of the net, I WILL track the original source down of the image if I'm suspicious, and believe me don't go there.
- They must be taken by you, you are allowed to recieve advice from others but they themselves are not allowed to take the picture.
- Late entries will not be excepted.
- It can be a existing photo that you have taken, but preferably a newer one would be better.
- It has to be a still image.
- You can't show other people your picture before it is posted.

Rules On Editing;
You ARE allowed to;;
- Resize
- Crop
- Change the image to full B&W or Full SEPIA, not a mixture of the two or any other color.
- Sharpen

You are NOT allowed to;;
- Use lighting effects.
- Blurring.
- Enhance The Picture. ( Change the contrast/brightness.)
- You can not use effects such as, Overlay, Lighten, Screen etc... on any picture.
- No text, or borders.
- No effects such as changing the exposure, selective colour etc..

You'll be fine, it doesn't matter if the actual subject is blurred as it is motion. :wink:

My camera is like really high q.. so my motion picture won't be blurred unless its something going at high speed xD

^ I would of thought so, you know as you keep telling me your a PRO. :tongue:

this'll be really interesting :D

wish i was in group 1 now i cant find my camera instructions have only ever shot in macro or auto before so this is certainly gonna be a challenge

someone go out with a camera on a tripod in a busy street and set the exposure to about 2 sec. ... love those shots of blury busy people in motion while the rest of the street scape is still. It's a bit of a cliche pic but a nice one too:spin2:

right think i have my possibles now one more question is black and white allowed or does it need to be colour (one of my possibles was actually shot in b&w so i cant change it)

BTW can we show other people our photo before its shown?

It can be black and white if you wish.

&& Dt your not allowed to show other people.
