Obstacle Race

Quote:

The housemates have been given half an hour to prepare for an obstacle course test.

Stuart read the laminate and informed the chained housemates of the rules of the task. They will be timed as they negotiate an obstacle course that involves weaving around cones, stepping over hurdles and walking along a balance beam.

The task set, the housemates strapped on shin pads and donned helmets in preparation for the task.

Grasping the laminate, Jason and Michelle gingerly did a test run of the course. Stuart and Shell were next to experimentally traverse the obstacles.

Gripping Daniel's arm, Daniel and Nadia were the final pair to tackle the course. Slowly shuffling along the balance beam and clomping over the hurdles they experienced few problems, despite being bound at the ankle.

Gaining confidence, the housemates speeded up their practice runs with Shell and Stuart laughing as they scampered around the course. Jason nimbly leapt the hurdles as he and Michelle had another go.

Sounds like another good task, I'm enjoying this BB task!

Btw, can't remember, hopefully someone will, do the housemates have a task next week????

I guess that's up to BB. I don't think they had one in the last week of BB2.

Yolks On You

Housemates stormed the garden's obstacle course, despite carrying a tray of eggs and being shackled together like latter-day common criminals.

The gang seemed unperturbed by the addition of the eggs, merely shrugging and deciding they'd get on with the task in hand.

Dressed in silver knee and elbow pads plus helmets, Stuart and Shell were the first of the manacled housemates to negotiate the cones, hurdles and balance beam. And they did so in perfect unison.

But when they got to the cross bar Stuart knocked the bar off as he ducked beneath it.

The pair replaced the bar and shuffled under it successfully the second time with Stuart commenting, "This is difficile".

"Let's roll," he said as they tackled the next set of hurdles and cones and passed on the eggs to Michelle and Jason.

They had no problem with the cross bar, but saw an egg fall from their tray and smash on the ground during the second set of hurdles, prompting Michelle to exclaim, "S***!"

Nadia and Dan went about the course like highly trained but slightly camp marines. They took the tray of eggs to the Diary Room to complete the task.

They await Big Brother's verdict on whether they passed, but Stuart was already convinced. "That was a well good effort," he said. "We nailed it."

Basking in the afterglow of triumph he told the housemates, "They were clever in making it a bit difficult. But we were even more clever."

I think they will have a task next week Amy.

Last year, there was the "opinions" task where the housemates were asked moral questions to win a Christmas party.

The year before (BB3) was a bit task-less anyway, but they had the vaudeville task with the plate-spinning and Alex's accordion.

So hopefully this year will be the same!
