Posting on this forum

I realized the other day that on other forums, like TSR i've posted 200ish times, and thought that was ALOT, and thought people who had posted more than 500 is alot. & on grab forums i've posted 150 times and thought that was amazing at the time.

But on here you're kind of a newbie until 500+ posts?
anyone noticed this, etc?

Completley. Sadly, I think there are one or two people who don't take people seriously unless they have over 500 posts. Some people with below 500 are actually not bad posters at all.

I think because it depends on the popularity of the forum itself, and 1000+ on here doesn't seem a lot, although it is a huge amount of posts and people who have less than that I don't treat them any differently.
It just varies from forum to forum.

You want to see some of the post counts on DS (:yuk:)

There are a couple over 50,000.

Anyway I find this forum very welcoming compared to others so I don't think people really care about post count here, and there is no definite post count either because most people have like 1000+.

yep ... my chin hit the floor when I saw a dude with 20000 post ... wow
edit:
50000???

It's not about how many time you post - it's about what you post.

Its not a very nice website, lucky I can't sign up (I don't have an ISP email and I refuse to pay a fiver!) but I could see myself in arguments all the time :joker:

Exactly. Some newbies are brilliant posters and some are just plain annoying. But the same could be said for regulars.
