A TiBB Meet-Up (2)

now, please excuee any drunken mis-spellings. ktxbaud

IIRC, there weas a Tibb "meet-up" years ago for the odler members, and I was just wondering what everynoe's thoughts tregarding a second one would be.

I guess ypu'd have to be at least 16 to attend...?

MrGaryy 19-09-2008 12:53 AM

I wouldn't go. It would have to be in London i reckon.

Z 19-09-2008 01:18 AM

I'd like to, but it's really impractical for me as a meet up would be in England most likely, and see if any of you lot are actually planning on kidnapping and raping me and I don't get to use my return fare train ticket?

But yeah, it's something I'd like to do, but I probably wouldn't do right now.

Princess 19-09-2008 01:29 AM

I'd love to go but theres sort of an ocean in the way. Stupid plane fares. Unless everyone wants to go to a Take That concert-one thing I can guarnatee being in England for.

Count me in! But prepar yourself for some terrible singing!

Princess 19-09-2008 01:34 AM

Oh god I won't even hear you over my insane screaming. Seriuosly my mum said she didn't know a person could physically scream that loud.

Sam 19-09-2008 07:24 AM

hehe, yeah I don't think I'd go because allthough I trust most people on the forum.. it's still the internet and to meet up with loads of strangers is bit of a risk to me.

Spike 19-09-2008 07:28 AM

I would go but I wouldn't if it was too much travelling

Actually it was in Manchester in November 2002, and I was there

London is the pits, and I would suggest you find out where the main demographic of the board lives, and see about a venue there. It may not be London.

You could of course have regional meet ups, which could suffice for people like Princess.

As for the North East, Next Wednesday 24 September, in Newcastle upon Tyne, at the bottom of Northumberland Street, I will be there to photograph our church town day, so we could all arrange to meet there sometime through the day. (I will have to attend a church function in the evening though)

SiaSiaSia 19-09-2008 08:29 AM

I'M IN :D
i travel everywhere... :P

x

SiaSiaSia 19-09-2008 08:31 AM

and i mean, EVERYWHERE.
i live in essex and last week i went to edinburgh
and i go to manchester quite alot tooo

xDramatick 19-09-2008 09:32 AM

I'm totally up for it. I reckon it'd be amazing.
Personally, it'd probably have to be in London since it'd be really hard for me to get out of London/afford it. There's loads of places in London to go &as the country's capital, it'd be great. Plus the tube is love.

If it's somewhere out of London, I'd probably have to meet up with someone in London first, and have them go with me because I'm thick like that =(
Unless we're provided directions in big letters and explained extremely simply :]

Either way, I won't be able to go if it's gonna cost a lot.

Lauren 19-09-2008 10:37 AM

I think to cover any legalities it has to be 18, not 16.

Which rules out quite a lot of members.

If it's in London I can't go, at all.
It costs me over £100 to get into London, not mentioning how to get back, and although it's the capital, it's hardly central.

I imagine a better place would be somewhere like Birmingham, which is central and has a lot of travel links. It's a fair distance from me but I imagine that would be the fairest location.

Kate.. 19-09-2008 10:42 AM

I can't go lol I'm only 14
Not sure I would go either. I agree with Sam.. I trust people on tibb but this is an open forum. If someone read where we were going to meet up... I just wouldn't feel right.

Lauren 19-09-2008 10:43 AM

Another option than just posting a location for the meetup was the post a topic saying "PM me for details on the meet up" and then it's up to Shaun's discretion who can be trusted/well known enough to get the details? Would save some randoms popping along.

Kate.. 19-09-2008 10:49 AM

Yeah that's true. Good idea :)

that was pretty well written considering you were drunk.

Sarah. 19-09-2008 11:11 AM

So i'd probs go to this too if it happened.

Yeh I could understand why people met up in Manchester for that same reason, its not central but its closish. Manchester is known as music gig centra just because there are so many transport links in manchester and it being so easy to get to. I recommend that

Annie 19-09-2008 11:51 AM

I would totally do it if all the scottish people travelled together! :cheer:

Tom 19-09-2008 05:02 PM

It wouldn't be practical if it was in London, it should be in the middle of the UK, but then again I wouldn't go anyway

Hugo 19-09-2008 05:10 PM

it shouldn't be in London. It should be in Birmingham, right at the center. I don't think everything should revolve around London just because its the capital.

i thought it was just frowned upon..? lmao

Nicky. 19-09-2008 05:32 PM
