I had it as a child and it went when I was about 12. It came back when I was about 28. It has put me in hospital twice in the past 8 years. One time they kept me in for 3 days after I walked myself to the hospital. They were surprised as "most people with that low level of oxygen in their blood would not be able to walk themselves in"

It is controllable if you keep up the drugs.

I had it really bad as a child, in hospital at least half a dozen times, it would have been many more but my parents got me a nebulizer which usually managed to control things. The worst attack I had was whilst at school when I was about 5 years old, kept telling the teacher that I couldn't breathe but she didn't believe me, luckily my mum was collecting me at lunchtime that day.

I still have to use an inhaler twice a day but I've got to have a check-up to see if I actually still need it.

I've always had it, it's something that I consider to be a nuisance, but I always use my inhalers in the morning and it's usually under control. I normally find it's worst in winter, that's a bad time of year for me -.-

I've got asthma, and it can be quite bad sometimes - I take inhalers for it. Worst time I had with it was around 6 or 7 years ago when I was having attacks every few hours - I was on steroids for a while off the doctor. I've never actually been in hospital with my asthma though.
