Aaaarrgh angry rant!!!

I go back to University this week and my contract starts on the 28th (Sunday)... which is when I'm meant to move in. People who are kitchen reps this year move in 27th though.
I emailed my accommodation officer asking whether it would be possible to move in on the 27th instead, as my mum was going into hospital on the Sunday (this part is true), but I said I couldn't get transport on the Sunday cos of this (only half true. It would mean my grandad driving me instead and he's not meant to drive long distances).

Anyway. She replied the Saturday gone saying I probably could but to ring her on Monday to confirm it (cos she needed to check my room was on the rota to be cleaned before Saturday).

So Monday I rang her... and some man answered saying she was in a meeting ALL DAY (unlikely, since she told me to ring her on Monday). So anyway, he told me to ring Tuesday instead.

So today, I rang her office... same man answered saying she was out. So this time I told him to note my mobile number and give her it when she came back this afternoon.

Still no phonecall :mad: And now her office is shut.

I'm really starting to panic because I need confirmation from her and for her to tell me where to pick up my keys if I can move in on the Saturday.

Grrr. I'm gonna email her again tonight, but now I'm so stressed incase I can't get in touch with her despite my best effort.

Grr... anyway. Just wanted to rant.

She owes me £10 too, because she charged me it out of my £190 deposit. Except she made a mistake and charged me for SOMEONE ELSES HOUSE, haha.

That might be why she's ignoring me? But surely a week before freshers week she should be dealing with these kinds of things? It's her job.

She should be but she obviously hasn't sorted it yet so it sounds like she is avoiding you. Shame you are so far away otherwise you could have gone there in person and demanded she sort it out. Alternatively you could give her a good kicking. :tongue:

You are just going to have to harass her. Keep calling and make a nuisance of yourself and she will soon get fed up of it and sort it out. Harassment works sometimes.

Thanks Baz, I'm gonna email her again at 6pm. But put "URGENT" in the title :tongue: I know as matter of fact they're required to respond to emails if it has that in the title.

Hopefully she'll finally give me an answer so I can get on with packing.
