Eviction Protest

I remember when seeing on Big Brother Around the World, an eviction in another country where someone did a silent protest and didn't say anything and held a sign up.

Has anyone got the video, please?

Yep It was Austalia. I heard that this person was like fave to win at the time and was loved by the public, he just recated badly to someone that someone says (probably about different nationalities and races, not 100% sure though) and ended up having a huge row with a fellow HM, and then the public turned on him or something and he did a silent protest during his interview.

Yeah it was in Australia something to do being a German living in Australia and the abuse he gets for it or something like that

The housemate in question was Merlin from Big Brother Australia 2004.

Extract from Wikipedia:

Quote:

During his Eviction, he attracted controversy by taping over his mouth and revealing a makeshift banner which read "Free Th Refugees". The letter E had fallen off and it was intended to read "Free The Refugees" in reference to Australian Government policy of mandatory detention of asylum seekers. He refused to speak throughout his eviction show, but later spoke of the incident during the following nomination show.

Interesting how much control Gretel actually has over the crowd, you wouldn't see Davina having that much control. Also strange how they don't boo straight away, and when they do they're told not to.
