Cole \'fed up\' with \'X Factor\' boss Cowell

X Factor judges Cheryl Cole and Simon Cowell shocked producers with a fiery bust-up at the Boot Camp stage of the competition, according to a report.

Girls Aloud star Cheryl is said to have demanded crisis talks with show bosses after Cowell overruled her on a number of key decisions.

A source told The People: "Cheryl was fed up with Simon always getting his way. She loves doing X Factor but doesn't feel happy with some of the decisions that have been made - mostly by Simon."

It is claimed that the situation came to a head as one of Cole's favourite contestants, Leona Lewis's childhood friend Duane Lamonte, was eliminated from the competition.

"It was the last straw for Cheryl. She thought Duane deserved to get through to the next stage," the insider explained. "But Simon was adamant that he should be sent packing.

"Cheryl truly believed Simon had made the wrong decision. She stood up with a face like thunder and stormed off towards the producers. She was visibly angry as she spoke to them and getting really upset. Then she demanded they go somewhere and have a meeting."

Despite Cole's efforts, the decision was not reversed. The source added: "The tension was unbearable."

X Factor's second Boot Camp episode airs tonight at 7.00pm on ITV1.

Well at least Cheryl was brave enough to actually take a stand rather than doing it underhandedly like Danni does. Duane deserved plenty of other acts' places, like those 2 barmaids/pub singers from Wales - they couldn't even sing for God's sake.

Apparently the big argument with Simon and Cheryl was over Jade Thirlwell the little Geordie girl cos Cheryl really wanted her through - I think she already knew her category - and Simon said he didn't think she was ready yet. Cheryl even said as much at the end of xtra factor last night when talking to holly when asked who any of the judges really wanted to put thru but hadn't and Simon just rolled his eyes!
