The housemates were shocked from their slumber this morning by the sound of themselves.

Big Brother had cunningly recorded the laughter and shrieks of the housemates and played it in to the House as a new and, frankly frightening, morning alarm.

Shell nearly jumped out of her bed at the sound of herself giggling, while a tousle-haired Nadia looked like she'd seen a ghost when she heard the horrific noise.

"IT'S US!" She screamed, before shouting, "Stop it! Stop it!" and burying her head in the pillow.

"Man, can you hear Victor," Stuart wheezed, as the dulcet tones of the departed housemate could be heard in the deafening mix.

The alarm certainly worked though.

Jason, who can normally sleep through the sound of a pneumatic drill, dogs barking, a baby screaming et al, was surprisingly already up and sipping orange juice in the garden.

Meanwhile, the others, bleary-eyed but awake, stumbled around the bedroom still in shock at the dreadful din...
