Pink is no.1 :bored:
It's the worst song I've ever heard from her.
Anyway, £100 says Leon will be above Peter Kay by the official chart on Sunday.

I'm not sure, Peter's sales keep growing each day. Saturday will be the day everything changes seeing as the kids will be buying singles.

Arneldo 17-10-2008 06:02 PM

No, he's done good. 'The Winner's Song' is a chairty single from a popular comedian - its bound to do good. Still I hope he can beat it by the time of the official chart.

I only posted this because everyone was predicting he'd be number one as it's his first single and that it'll have big success. Nothing against Leon, I'm just shocked a Peter Kay song has sold more.

Spike 17-10-2008 06:07 PM

No because the song is very good and i'm impressed by him
Sales aren't good but that was to be expected with the type of music he will produce.
I think his record company probably didn't realise what a success Peter Kay's show and song would be, maybe it was the wrong week to release

Times have changed so much. When I was a teenager (and younger) and used to listen to the top 40 every Sunday without fail on radio one, just getting into the charts at all was an achievement. Getting a top 20 hit was a very big deal, and singles rarely went straight in at number 1.

XxShortyxX 17-10-2008 06:11 PM

Lmao, poor Leon, but it will be so funny if Peter Kay beats Leon to the number spot

Locke. 17-10-2008 06:14 PM

I'm sure the album will get #1 anyway.

At this rate, I doubt it will.

As I said, everyone was comparing the song to Leona's success last year. Obviously he wouldn't have done as well, but there were major comparisons. I don't think it will rise after this week. These days songs sell its most within the first week. Depending on how big the song is, it'll just keep dropping each week,

And remember no one really buys singles anymore, its with downloads combined now. His downloads mustn't be very good either if he's still behind Geraldine. I think people have mistaken the song as a charity one - it isn't. They were spoofing the song being a charity song for pole dancers.

Tom8592 17-10-2008 06:17 PM

No , he was never going to do aswell as Leona

Indierock&roll 17-10-2008 07:00 PM

ugh pinks song is the worst song ever .. its not even a song just a load of cr*p!
anyway geraldine hahahah i love it

Red Moon 17-10-2008 07:03 PM

I don't he has anything to be ashamed getting into the top 5 is good going, and he is still at the start of his career.

It's easy to overlook how young he is.

Annie 17-10-2008 07:03 PM

I dont think there has been much press about Leon came back. His single was only first heard about a month ago. And not many people have heard it - I am a fan of his and Saturday's X Factor was the third time I had heard it.

I will go out and buy the single tomorrow though. Do my bit :cheer:

Tom 17-10-2008 09:33 PM

Only Leona has managed to get another number 1 after X Factor, so its OK I suppose. Don't expect him to be around in a years time though with Leona status

Benjamin 17-10-2008 11:23 PM

more importantly people should be asking why the hell the saturdays are number 4 with that song! It's rubbish. Many better girl bands out there, like Pussycat Dolls, Sugababes and The Veronicas.

I completely agree. There's an immense amount of pressure on him what with having won TXF. Still, I guess without it he wouldn't have had half as many opportunities. Leon definitely has a lot of potential, and is steadily progressing as he practices/tries to get even better.

It's better than any song Darnell has sung.

M X 18-10-2008 10:43 AM

I don't think he should be ashamed but he hasn't done GREAT.

Damaris 18-10-2008 11:26 AM

Man i hate pinks song its really irritating.

I bought leons single (=.

Geraldine will beat leon but theyll both drop next week and geraldine will drop more.

The chart will end up like this.

1.P!nk-So what
2.Gereldine-The winners song
3.The saturdays-up
4.Leon jackson-Dont call this love
5.Kings of leon-sex on fire

SiaSiaSia 18-10-2008 11:27 AM

No - it's good seeing as he's had very little publicity about it

Princess 18-10-2008 12:11 PM

Well Gary Barlow wrote it so all the Take That fans have been buying it as well as Peter Kay fans-thats a lot of fans, let alone any other people!

Leon has still done really well.

bluehill 18-10-2008 12:16 PM

its a naf song, i dont like him and really i think he was thinking he should knock P!nk off the number one spot but i think peter kay will :hello::hello::hello:
