Halloween Costumes
My kids are hassling me about their costumes.
What is it with them? They want brand new costumes when I know they have a whole toy box of clothes that they can use... even halloween ones. When I was a kid, mine were always home made.... I suggested sticking a white sheet over their heads and cutting two holes for eyes and it didnt go down too well  |
When I was younger my mum used to take me and my brother to the Disney store every halloween (this was a VERY exciting day out)
And then we would get one outfit to play about in at halloween and for the rest of the year! I made a terrific Pocohontas! |
Go Woolies. They have good masks, probs cheap. Or try a cards shop like clintons or try a supermarket.

i used to have homemade as well
i got my daughter one from tesco a little witch that came with a hat £6 but they had i think 25% off childrens clothes |
But why the need for new costumes every year?
Has Halloween become too manufactured? |

You could just get them in a black leotard and make a tail out of black tights and make little ears and make them a cat.
When I was 14 I woke my dancing leotard with a high neck and massive hole in the back and then fishnets and high heels... halloween was never the same from there on in.. the slut fight was bigger every year. This year french maid  |
asda's amazing, they have a whole aisle and its pretty cheap. a couple of years ago they did a little tube of fake blood for something silly like 28p, buy a few of them and do the sheet idea and put them in the garden or the bath and let em smother themselves. we did it with my sister last year and she had the most fun i think ive ever seen

a good idea for the eldest, Jessie from Toy Story 2  Make the 8 year old Little boe peep
|
I think the 4 year old and the 8 year old will be pretty easy to do, the 4 year old wants to be a cat and I think I can make the 8 year old go as a witch......
