Do you think the saying 'Once a cheater, Always a cheater' is right?

It means when someone cheats on there lover they will always cheat in other relationships too.

My bf cheated on one of his ex's a few years ago [mainly because they NEVER saw each other and he found it hard to cope without; not making excuses though, it's horrible]
&he was saying to me that he felt really guilty after, and he could never do it again.

I know a couple of people who have and realised it was the biggest mistake of their lives and would never do it again.

Na i asked them if the mind being on the internet with strangers and the people in my sig didnt mind! The hottest ones said no tho :(

I dont think you are ALWAYS a cheater because I believe that when you grow up in life you do change as a person. I have cheated in the past and then there have been relationships where I haven't cheated. Some people however do get a thrill from cheating and the sneaking about and some people just cant keep their pants on. Some people are just mean and don't care about anyone but themselves. But yeah some change

my ex cheated on me twice so i am not sure cos i dont think everyone is like him i gave him another chance but he threw it back in my face but i have friends who have cheated did it once and never again

I agree with the growing up bit.... thats one of the main reasons I cheated, we grew apart and I realised I needed more from a relationship

No I don't believe that saying is right. I know people say that, like they say, "Once a thief, Always a thief". But that doesn't mean that is true.

I know someone who cheats all the time. He has no interest in being faithful to any woman. I consider him to be nothing more than a bigot. I can't stand the guy and I feel sorry for the women he hurts and he hurts many.

I know someone else who cheated on his wife and they almost broke up over it. It was a TERRIBLE mistake on his part. He said that it was just a moment of weakness. The man had a few drinks one night at a do and started kissing this woman, ended up in bed together and had sex. But his wife found out from her best friend. Anyway, he has never made that silly mistake again.

I don't believe that just because you cheated once, that you will cheat again. There is NO proof anywhere that a person will cheat again just because they did it once or even twice.

Personally I have never cheated on my girlfriend and never would. I am not interested in hurting her or trying something new. But many people do say that and then fall foul to cheating one night or even having an affair over a period of time. "Chris Tarrant", for instance.

I admit I cheated on someone when i was 16... but im nearly 19 now and I have grown up a lot. I wouldnt dream of doing it now!

So in this situation that statement is wrong!

Just out of interest. How would you react if your girlfriend was having an affair or had sex with your best friend, lets say?

Erm horribly... like everyone else. As I mentioned, I was a different person when I was 16... its something people do at 16. At 19 I am a little wiser than that!

Everyone is (or already have) gonna cheat on one of their partners. Wether you learnfrom it or not is different.

that is rubbish i have never cheated and i never will having been on the recieving end of it i think i know how much it hurts but even before that i wouldnt do it

Fair enough, you proved me wrong, and I'm glad you did. However it is more than likely when your younger you probably will though.

No. I used to cheat all the time but I haven't bothered for a good while, not in my current relationship or the one before that. I've grown up. I care about how other people other than myself feel now.

I've been proved wrong already, but I do know enough about relationships so far to last me a lifetime, not as much as others granted but enough, for know...
