Tonight (Thursday) find out which housemate will get the gong for being the “best looking” housemate, the “rudest” housemate, the “biggest asset to the group” and more in THE BIG BROTHER AWARDS, live on E4 streaming.

The group must nominate three housemates for each award category and submit their shortlist to Big Brother. Big Brother will make the final decision on which nominated housemate should receive each award. There are 11 award categories in total and all 13 housemates from this year are eligible for each award.

The categories are:

· The Best Looking Housemate
· The Biggest Cry Baby
· The Best Dressed Housemate
· The Rudest Housemate
· The Most Successful Rebel
· The Most Vain Housemate
· The Most Liberated Housemate
· The Greediest Housemate
· The Biggest Asset to the Group
· The Laziest Housemate
· The Housemate Most Likely to Win Big Brother 2004

Big Brother will call housemates up individually to read out the nominations and announce the winner (decided by Big Brother) of each category. The winner must then give an acceptance speech. If the winner is an evicted housemate, the person reading the nominations will give an acceptance speech on their behalf.

The final and most anticipated award will be for the housemate “most likely to win Big Brother 2004.” However, Big Brother would not want to spoil the surprise, so this envelope will instead contain a message for the group saying; “Big Brother will get back to you.”

Big Brother will provide black tie and ball gowns for the housemates to wear to the awards ceremony and treat them to a 3-course dinner.

Highlights of the Awards Ceremony will be broadcast on Channel 4, Friday 6 August at 8.30pm

I've just received an updated press release about this. Instead of BB chosing the housemates C4 have put a free voting section on the website.

And The Winner Is...


After enjoying their last supper in the House, the housemates took their turns at presenting the winners of the Big Brother Awards Ceremony.

And here they are...

Biggest Cry Baby: Shell managed to keep her emotions intact for a change while accepting the award, for which she saw off contenders Nadia and Becki. "I've been quite tragic, but I'm alive," she said in her acceptance speech.

Best-Looking Housemate: Dan accepted the award on behalf of Team Handsome's Stuart. Shell proved she wasn't bothered about losing, by proclaiming a heartfelt "jolly well done" to her absent housemate.

Rudest Housemate: Gone but not forgotten for his filthy mouth, Marco stole this award, for which he was nominated on the basis of his tendency to tell people to "******* off" at the drop of a hat.

Best Dressed Housemate: Nadia thanked her housemates, the public...and God, for having taken this award. And even Jason had to admit that she looked "fabulous" in a spangly black ball gown complete with what looked like a pair of pink marigolds.

Most Successful Rebel: Kitten couldn't accept her award, Jason announced, because she was "up a tree somewhere, protesting about a motorway being built". He was pretty sure, however, what the political lesbian would have said had she been present: "******* off!"

Yes... most vain housemate is meeeeee!!!


Most Vain Housemate: "It's MEEEEEEEE!" screamed Jason, as he opened the revealing gold envelope. Looking more pleased than anyone else would have probably been had they won this award, he proceeded to thank Big Brother "for having such fabulous mirrors and windows".

Greediest Housemate: Ahmed.

Most Liberated Housemate: Shell picked up the award, most likely on account of her fondness for doing most things (mowing the lawn, cooking etc) in the buff.

Laziest Housemate: Greedy and lazy - it's Ahmed.

Biggest Asset To The Group Award: Dan's mediating and hairdressing skills saw the big guy pick up this one. He theatrically thanked his psychotherapist.

The announcements over, the foursome cracked open the bubbly and kicked their heels to a few Sinatra classics.

So Vanessa, Emma, Michelle and Victor didn't win anything ....

... oh and neither did Becki, but I forgot she'd been in the house for a moment then!

I enjoyed them as well - most apt - had to be Jason - that man's head is growing bigger by the hour. I too had forgotten Becki. Though how Michelle missed out on greediest I dont know every time I saw her if she wasnt clamped to Stuart then she was eating LOL

If there had been an award for the clingiest and most neurotic housemate Michelle would have won by a mile.

I missed the awards because my stupid husband face went out and hired a crappy dvd and insited on watching it saying we watch BB all the time - he obviously doesnt realise the importance of these final days - off to lick my wounds now

No Amy he will not be doing the same tonight - I have threatened Surgery if he even trys to take away my BB rights for the final night.

Today he again threw a hissy fit because he didnt win the best looking hm award!

He barked "it doesnt really matter im still in here because of my looks!" while Dan sarcastically replied "well its definetely not your modesty thats kept you in!"

No I think that was it to be honest, I think they'll do a lot more chatting to the housemates this year!?! I can't wait for Sunday should be a good show!
