Wedding songs and Funeral songs..?
 

I am just curious, what song would you choose or think is best for a Wedding and a Funeral?

For me:

Wedding: Crack the shutters By Snow Patrol then right after it Set down your glass by Snow Patrol
Funeral: Amie By Damien Rice

wedding- beach boys- God only knows
funeral- Melanie- Carolina in my mind

wedding well when i was gonna be getting married it was gonna be dont want to miss a thing by aerosmith but not sure what it would be now
funeral my way but the robbie williams version

I don't know about either because for weddding it would have to be 'our song' and well I don't think about my funeral.

On Lundy Island, some of the ones they had for the wedding was "One More Step along the World I Go" and "Lord of the Dance"

Also you could add "I love you with the Love of the Lord", "Bind us together"

At the wedding of the son of a couple in our church, we had one called the Greatest Commandment

For those unfamiliar with it, this is a version of it. (Eagle eyed people will spot I used this in one of my Mystical Realms tales)



(incidentally The son and his bride were members of the congregation in their own right and after they got married moved down to Reading)


Funeral wise - "Abide with me", "Blest be the ties that bind", "It is well with my soul" and possibly "The Day thou gavest Lord is ended"
