X FACTOR host Dermot O’Leary has been blasted by producers – for ribbing Louis Walsh about being camp.

Louis is fuming that cocky Dermot keeps making jibes about him.

And he hit the roof after Rachel Hylton’s performance with semi-naked male dancers dressed as angels on Saturday night’s show.

Louis, 56, called the routine “pretty average”.

But Dermot quipped: “Wow I never thought I’d hear Louis Walsh say that hunky angels were average."

Louis’s face turned to thunder in front of 12.1million TV viewers. He tried to talk to Dermot, but got cut off.

Dermot, 35, stepped up the ribbing again when Alexandra Burke performed with four topless hunks.

After her act, Louis said he loved creative director Brian Friedman’s choreography. The host smirked: “Louis, I’m sure you liked Brian’s choreography.”

Louis cornered Dermot later, warning him not to do it again. A source said: “Louis was hopping mad and had serious words with Dermot, who looked visibly shocked. The producers then dragged Dermot over the coals.

"There’s always banter between the judges but they don’t want stick from Dermot, he is just the host.”

In American Idol theres a bit of banter between the host/judges and because Simon wants to recreate X Factor as American Idol he sent Dermot over to get lessons off Ryan Seacrest probably so Dermot will morph into him and probably because Ryan was offered X Factor but rejected
