HEARTLESS X Factor hopeful Marvin Humes has dumped his girlfriend of six years—because he doesn’t have time for her now that he’s famous.

To support Marvin’s bid for X Factor fame, loving Jaime Jay gave up her home, put her own pop career on hold and even kept quiet when he insisted he was single. But Marvin dumped her ten days ago, saying: “I need to concentrate on my career.”

Jaime, 27, revealed: “We couldn’t have been closer if we were actually married—in fact I already felt like we were married. He’s ended this marriage for his career.”

Marvin, 23, a member of boyband JLS, has committed to the show full time since August, giving up work and living in accommodation provided by X Factor.

Jaime said: “We moved out of our place so Marvin could go off and do X Factor. I’d have been left to pay all the bills and I just couldn’t afford it by myself. I’ve been essentially living out of my car and staying with different friends since then.”

Jaime passed up the opportunity to DJ and promote her own single, To Make You Feel Alright, in America for two months so she could support JLS. She even endured hearing Marvin deny her very existence.

“It didn’t bother me that in interviews with JLS he had to say he was single. I work in the industry, I know that’s how it goes.”

Just a week before dumping her, Marvin sent Jaime a recording of You Are The Best Thing, by Ray LaMontagne, so she was stunned when he told her it was over.

She said: “It’s hurts to think we’re not going to get married, not going to have kids together.”

But she will still cheer him on in the show.

“He’s still the most wonderful man I’ve ever met.

“He was always so romantic and thoughtful.

“I still love him. I’ll still probably love him in ten years time, in 20 years time, but he’s made his decision.”
