Doctors have given Big Brother star Jade Goody a three-week break from her gruelling chemotherapy.

The mum-of-two had made almost daily trips to hospital for six weeks in her fight against cervical cancer.

She will be able to spend more time with sons Bobby, five, and Freddie, four, at their Essex home.

Before the treatment Jade, 27, was given a 50-50 chance of surviving the cancer which had spread.

A friend said: "It's early days but the doctors are happy with her progress."
