Newcomers Van Day and Mallett released from jail... and straight into an argument over sleeping arrangements
I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! newcomers Timmy Mallett and David Van Day were finally released from their prisons after a night behind bars.

But after arriving at camp, the welcoming posse soon turned sour after former Dollar frontman Van Day announced he wouldn't be sleeping in a cave.

After finding out two of the campmates would have to sleep in a cave, football WAG Nicola McLean declared there was 'no way' she or fellow WAG Carly Zucker should have to sleep in such an environment.

After spending the night sleeping in a cage, Van Day was unwilling to spend the night in a cave.

However, the original residents of the camp were also unprepared to sacrifice their beds to sleep in the cave.

Mallett volunteered to sleep their, leading the campers to look to Van Day, who point blankly refused.

McLean said: 'Everyone knows where it's going. Everyone feels that it's David (who) should have offered or at least offered an explanation as to why he doesn't feel like he should go into the cave because as last people in, you two don't have beds.

'We're all sweet. We all have our beds.'

Dani Behr added: 'We've been suffering for six days already, jumping out of a plane, eating croc's cock, trial after trial.

'We've paid our dues to a point where I feel, if we have our beds, it's up to me whether I should volunteer my bed to somebody else.

'I wouldn't come in and after a week nearly of people suffering and say right get out of that bed, I'm taking that now because I don't want to go there.'

Van Day stood his ground: 'It seems to me that because you feel you were here first, you have some kind of freehold to your beds.

'In my head that's not the case. That isn't the situation.'

He also snubbed Robert Kilroy-Silk's offer of adding him to the toilet-cleaning rota, replying 'No, I'm the guest.'

After exchanging a few snide comments with McLean, former Blue singer Simon Webbe lashed out at him.

He said: ''What gets my back up is that you said 'whose bed am I having?'

In defence, Van Day explained how upsetting he found it sleeping in a cage and he would find the cave equally unsettling.

The group's maternal figure Esther Rantzen gave him a hug: saying: 'I don't want him to go through this.'

Recalling the argument later, Martina Navratilova said: 'Timmy was very agreeable and David didn't blend it at all because he wasn't agreeable.

'He came in with a bit of an attitude and everyone let him know it.'

Eventually Van Day said he would sleep in the cave one night, but wanted to discuss changing beds the following day.

During dinner, McLean and Behr quietly discussed the argument and agreed to give the Eighties pop star a second chance.

So now viewers will be left wondering how long his second chance will last before Van Day upsets someone again...

David isn't going to last long in their especially as he came in and assumed people would jump at his commands.
