Bus drivers

I dislike them,intensely:mad:

If there not miserable, sarcastic, ignorant mornons full or road rage, then their perverted, sick old men who make inapropriate comments about your choice of clothing.

Roll on the driving test is all I can say right now.
Unpleasant experiences anyone?

supernoodles! 21-11-2008 03:45 PM

and yes i do realise this is a major generalisation, but i don`t care the majority are just uncalled for!

Locke. 21-11-2008 03:47 PM

I've never spoke to one. They just kinda... sit there and don't tend to speak.

Lauren 21-11-2008 03:47 PM

Novo 21-11-2008 03:51 PM

The bus drivers in my area are some of the most rude ,ill mannered bunch of idiots I have ever met!Tbh I think they just hate students,I am a fully paying customer and I should be treated with the same respect they treat the oap`s with.
Just the other day,I asked for a day ticket and he replied with 'WHAT!?' and looked at me as if I was something he had just stepped in.The following day I again asked for a day ticket,it was another driver this time and he just stared at me for what seemed like 2 minutes and until I eventually just put the fair on his tray,he then replied with 'There are about 8 different types of day tickets'
There isn`t!
But even if there was it is his job involves customer service, you kinda er have to speak!

Actually that happened when I used to want regionwide tickets. They'd never understand what I meant even though they advertised them!

supernoodles! 21-11-2008 04:04 PM

I know,I mean I`ve never had anyproblem asking for one travelling from my home town to college but when I tried to ask for one when travelling from college back to home that was the response I got despite it being the same bus just on a return journey!
They have banners on the side of the bus advertising day tickets, week tickets, month tickets etc:rolleyes:

Tom 21-11-2008 04:43 PM

I've been on about 2 buses in my entire life and one of them was the free one in town. Book your driving test and get a car :joker:

Gemmer-x 21-11-2008 06:22 PM

yeah usually their really grumpy and don't say thanks which annoys me
but the other day i was going into town and the driver was really nice, he smiled and spoke to everybody i was like awww :)

Noel 21-11-2008 06:33 PM

Grumpiest bunch of tw*ts ever. I showed the bus driver my day ticket one time getting on the bus, and he called me back and told me to turn round with my back to him. And I was like what? lol. And he was like turn around, and I did, and he said "Can you see your day ticket?" and I was like...no..and he just said "well then how the ****** do you think I'm supposed to see it when you have it turned round the other way?" I was just like..sorry... lmao. Cheeky buggerr.
Plus, they have no idea what a speed limit is. My cousin was knocked down and killed by a bus last week, and even though it wasn't the driver's fault, the day after her funeral, passers by saw 2 buses speeding through a red light past her memorial. It's disgraceful.

Im really sorry to hear that

Lol don't worry. I didn't know her, but it's really affected my family and the whole community actually. It's kinda weird. :/ lol. But yeah, those bus drivers really need to calm down. Ooh! Also something else! I hate the way they go full speed ahead just as you're about to sit down and you get flung everywhere on the bus. Could they not wait for you to sit down?

I didn't know her either, she was a girl in my ICT class' cousin.
It was such terrible news.
Bus drivers in town need to calm down..
They are disgraceful.

Noel 21-11-2008 07:17 PM

Doesn't it seem that everyone has some connection to her? It goes to show how much a death affects a community. Every time I look at her wee funeral book, with her picture, I feel really sad, even though I'd never met her, which is really weird. lol.
But more positively, I LOVE it when you get a really nice driver who talks to you and smiles, and isn't rude and grumpy. It actually puts me in a really good mood, strangely. lol.

Tom4784 21-11-2008 07:29 PM

I hate MOST Bus drivers, so rude! However some are quite nice.

Z 21-11-2008 07:30 PM

Absolutely! The drivers here are usually so irritable, it's not fair, the fare card machine wasn't working, and so usually the drivers will be like "just go on" so I said "It's not working" and he was like "Well pay with cash then."

Excuse me? I have a fare card, not cash. You know, I paid a fiver for it, therefore it's stored balance, I don't have any money. The guy was being a right ass about it and wouldn't let me on until somebody behind me stuck up for me! I'm like what the hell is his problem, is it because I'm a teenager?
