Rachel Hylton offered record deal!

Rachel Hylton has revealed that she has been offered a record deal.

The 25-year-old mum-of-five, who was voted off The X Factor on Saturday, described the show as a "great platform" for her future singing career.

"I have been approached by a record company but I'm not going to name them," she told DS.

"Obviously I'm in contract [with The X Factor] until next year so I won't be doing anything else for a while. For the time being I'm seeing what offers are out there."

Hylton also insisted that she has no regrets about her time on the show, saying: "Definitely not! The X Factor has given me such a great platform and it's really boosted my confidence on stage.

"Would I have done anything differently? Maybe I wouldn't have had scenes because I couldn't sing what I wanted to!"

I'm happy for her, she's got a good voice, she's just got to much of a specific style to suit X Factor.

Rachel could be the surprise success story of this year. She has a great recording voice on 'Hero'.

Good luck to her.

Good on her. She was a truly underrated talent this year (mostly because people refused to look past her personal life) and deserves all the success she can get.

She was bound to get a contract, as Laura will too. I can see Rachel becoming a bit of a dance music diva like Jocelyn Brown or Kym Mazelle. She could sing vocal hooks for Superstar DJ's like Roger Sanchez or Armin VAn Buuren. The Hero single showed she's got great recording voice so she might even be good at it.

Yeah, one or two of this year's lot will get offers..........the question is will they have lasting success. Only time will tell on that one.
