Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II

Activision has revealed that sequels are in the works for three of its biggest-selling franchises, reports MTV Multiplayer.

The publisher announced the new games during a party in New York organised by Microsoft-owned in-game advertising firm Massive.

During the event, Activision showed a screenshot for Guitar Hero 5, which included an advert for Burger King to demonstrate how the new advertising approach could work.

The company also revealed details of a new title in the Tony Hawk franchise, which gamers will apparently not be playing with a controller in their hands.

Finally, the publisher disclosed that new first-person shooter Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be ready for release in autumn 2009.
