'I refuse to learn the details of my cancer,' admits Jade Goody in emotional TV interview
Jade Goody has been very candid about her battle with cervical cancer.

The brave star has spoken openly about every aspect of her ordeal from the diagnosis to the harrowing treatment.

But in an emotional TV interview today Jade admitted she prefers to stay in the dark about the exact details of her illness.

Speaking on ITV1's This Morning show, the reality star revealed she was too scared to research her cancer because it was 'too much' for her to take in.

Asked by Phillip Schofield if it was wise to take part in a pantomime two days after her radiotherapy treatment she said her strategy was to keep busy and carry on as normal.

The 27-year-old said: 'I just want to carry on being to the boys and to myself normal and I'm quite naive with the whole cancer thingy.

I haven't done any research or anything and I don't want to know.

'I only know what I need to know, which is this is my medication and this is that, this is when I get better.

'I don't want to know the ins and outs and because it's too much for my brain to take it in. It really is.'

Jade has been very open about her cancer battle in an attempt to inspire others who suffer from the disease.

In the interview with Schofield and Holly Willoughby, who was standing in for Fern Britton, Jade opened up about her struggle to deal with her illness.

The Big Brother star told how the treatment has caused her to go through an early menopause.

She also admitted she found it hard to ask for help.

She said: 'I have always been the person who is the looker afterer so to ask people to help me is very difficult.'

Jade also talked about her relationship with Jack Tweed, who is currently serving an 18-month sentence in prison for battering a teenage boy with a golf club.

The mother-of-two said that Tweed has been telling her sons Freddy, four, and Bobby, five, that he is in Africa with Tarzan because they haven't admitted he is in jail.
Jade said she hoped the 21-year-old would be released in January.

She said: 'He's my rock. I just want a cuddle.'

Jade is currently on a break from radiotherapy, but will resume gruelling chemotherapy - which could last as long as a year - in a few weeks time.

The interview was to promote her new documentary Jade, which will air on Living TV tonight.

I suppose she doesn't want to know to much about her condition, although I don't think she would fully understand it all anyway.
