Whos Been To See An iMax Movie?

Im going to see one this weekend and I dont know what its like can someone please tell me what its like and if you have to wear 3D glasses?

Lauren 10-12-2008 06:48 PM

You don't have to wear 3D glasses, no.

It's just like a normal cinema but much bigger and the sound surrounds you more.

If I'm being honest you might feel dizzy after it LOL.

I used to think it was 3-D for some reason. Then just found out it was a big screen. What's the hoot?

LOL! at the 3d glasses! not for regular imax
Its prtty common now in the US, its just a very giant screen, and the picture quality is really good.
The screen comes around all the way to your peripheral vision!

There is also Imax 3D, I dont know if its the one youre gonna see!

NO, there are 3D I max's, but I thought you were talking about a regular one! Find out which one it is. And if they require glasses, they will give them to you!

Yeah I've been to one before in the London Science Museum, a 3D one. It was awesome, we were watching this space movie and it was like you were there, I remember this apple came flying on the screen and everyone put out their hands to try and touch it.

Hugo 10-12-2008 07:02 PM

Actually I think I HAVE been to one. In the National Space Center. It was shaped like a sphere and the screen was above you aswell?

Tom4784 10-12-2008 07:04 PM

I went to see a space one on two different trips before. I'm not keen they make me feel ill.
