The world wide web
The ability of computers to communicate with one another was developed slowly by US academics after 1969, who set up the Arpanet network. By 1990, it had been replaced by the internet, which was made available to commercial use in 1991. Almost at once, it grew dramatically, with users multiplying about 3,500 times a year throughout the 1990s, producing a contimuing revolution in communications and business. Internet users in 2000 numbered 295 million, by 2002 there were an estimated 530 million, and in 2008... Zero! Lets just think if the internet was gone, nothing, zero online, zero sites.. Would you miss it? Would it change your life?...

It would be awful its a part of life
I couldn't survive without the internet. I talk to people on it,get news off it-not like proper news but news about things I like, articles that mean you don't have to leave the house to buy a newspaper, missing progammes and getting to catch up with them, doing work for uni, finding out things that are bugging me,buy clothes, buy tour tickets, find music, download music, and on and on.
I oculd not curive without it, it really would be the end of my world. I remember once my PC had to be fixed and it was gone for a month. Everyday I would just come home from school, go to my bedroom and stare at the empty spot where it was.
It would be awful. It would cost me a lot of money too, I watch quite a bit of TV and movies online. At college my media course centers around the internet too, so if the internet was to go so would my course.
The world as we know it would collapse
Everything relys on the three w's now |
It would change everyones life no matter what. Health records, police records, their job, their bank...
I go on the internet for many hours a day and couldn't really go without it because there is always something to do to pass the time.
At least i wouldn't have 679 tagged photos on Facebook, 678 of which are drunken pictures that I hate
id miss it bu id have loads of spare time
Um, if the net had never been invented, then no, I wouldn't miss it as we wouldn't know of it.
Also, if all the internet went, there would be nothing to miss, as it would be gone. It's not the same as being banned off it when you know its all here :) x |
of course you'd miss it, just because nobody would be on it doesnt mean you wouldnt miss it

I don't think I could live no more lol But we can't go back because everything we have now, we know how to master it. Such a thing as nothing having Internet cannot happen, everything is about Internet today: medias, business...
