FORMER Big Brother contestant Narinder Kaur met TV's top commisioners at the Edinburgh Festival.

Narinder, who tried acting before appearing on the reality show, met up with ITV drama controller Nick Elliot and BBC Scotland head of drama Barbara McKissack to ask them for work. She said: 'In this industry we need more Asian actors on TV, not just newsreaders or journalists' During her 30 second pitch to ITV and the BBC, Narinder asked if she could be on the cast of The Bill or Bad Girls. She also wants to work on 55 Degrees North.

When will she realise - NO-ONE WANTS HER. Her fifteen minutes of semi-fame is well and truly over. Narinder get on with your life and stop being so desperate.

Its that easy isn't it? Just ask if you can have a job and they'll give it to you! Whatever happened to auditioning? She even has the cheek to specify which programmes she wants to be on!

I suppose you have to give her something for perseverance but her family must have given up trying to persuade her to get a regular job.

Right, now I'm going off for my saucer of milk! :cat:

Can I join you at that saucer, dizzy bint?

Jeez, does she NEVER give up?

Someone PLEASE give her a part in a television programme . . . . . . preferably taking a long walk off a short pier . . . . . . . . . . http://www.handykult.de/plaudersmilies.de//tongue3.gif

Time you took the hint, love - it ain't gonna happen.

By all means !

I used to know an actor, he trained properly etc and I daresay he was as good as Narinder. Last time I heard he was working as a chef. It's a very hard way to make a living and it is true they spend a long time 'resting'.

I come from an asian background and I disagree with Narinder that the only asians on tv are newsreaders and journalists. In my opinion she's using this as an excuse (thats the best word I can use, others spring to mind!).

It's the old one, isn't it?

Let's make more Asian women successful actresses. One at a time, starting with me!
