[] or () () are brackets but what is [] |
They both are brackets. Like in maths you use [] in vectors and stuff and () for the rest of stuff.

Yeah, I think the () brackets are mostly used in mathematics to group certain sums and stuff, but [] are if u want to group together more than one set of brackets.
e.g. x-4=[(2x+3)(x+6)]-[(4x-8)(5x+7)] I think that's it. It's what my teacher does. Or else it's just so you can have a choice of round or square brackets; whatever your taste. :P lol. |
