There will be no BB5 DVD after all!

To clarify the DVD situation once and for all I have emailed Endemol one final time to ask if ther will be an uncut DVD released at all. Their reply was;

"Dear Eve,

I have spoken to our commercial department to finally clarify the DVD situation. The only DVD we are releasing for BB5 is the one that was released in conjunction with The Sun newspaper.

It seems there has been some confusion about the Big Brother 5 DVD that has now been cleared up, there will not be a BB5 DVD other than the one that the Sun is doing. :mad:

I'm really pissed off about this :mad:

I would have thought this is one year when the uncut video really could show lots of what went on that hasnt been seen before. Its always been another money spinner for Endemol. Perhaps they are scared they might get sued by some of the housemates if they show certain things. Wonder if they had a camera UNDER the table :blush::blush::blush:

We've had a full-on romance, including the odd fallout and some jealousy, the Jungle Cats vs the Harem, Sherriff Stu, Naked Lawnmowing, Jason & Vanessa getting (slightly) jiggy, Nadia's manic moments, The Wedding, Michelle vs Ahmed, Fight Night, Victor's Diary Room wisdom, Dan's wit, have I scratched the surface yet?

Obviously not enough material for a DVD. Nah, not a commercial proposition, nobody would buy it!

Or maybe it's just that Stuart, by failing to join the Foreign Legion after BB, has rather undermined the carefully edited and crafted storyline and they're too embarassed?

At least I've got the Sun DVD - it came the other day (haven't watched it yet tho'). I knew I had to try and get one of them just in case it was the only one - and it seems it is...

Surely there was enough drunken fighting and sex aplenty during the live feed! There can't be much extra to show!!!!!!

I don’t think they can, Amy. I have heard they have sold the exclusive rights to BB5 to the Sun newspaper before the series started.

Maybe they thought it would be as big a flop as BB4
