Linda, I wouldn't worry about karma. I have had mine turned off, Karma is just a secret way of telling someone you dislike them/or their post.

I know you're lovely, and most important you know you are.

Make one enemy on here and your karma WILL die, haha. Ive only been back for about 2 weeks, and my karma has gone down 30.

For the record.. I'm not actually bothered about my karma.. my thread was in honour of the drama llamas who do care if they get minused.. haha

I can't plus or minus anyone.. cuz I'm still banned cuz of Billy-gate.

Linda the best way to view karma is low and minus equals popular and attracts jealousy ..Karma in credit is oftena non threat to anbody its almost as if they dont really count, and they only attract no attention to them or just one line replies or worse ...in other words Karma is just a pain in the a** you can do without.
As Ross said I'd just turn it off and relax knowing you are well respected as people actually take the time to write that in a reply, rather than click a flamin button only for some idiot to take it away when your off line.

And btw, if we notice that one person is giving/taking karma from one member consistently, they have their rights taken away anyway. Although, sometimes it's hard to monitor. The vast majority seem to be taking it lightly now anyway, either by switching it off or not caring.

Karma is just a game on forums.. I keep it on for a laugh, cuz it amuses me if I piss someone off and I imagine them sitting there growling pressing the minus button and getting some insane satisfaction from doing so. lol
