This article appears in The Star newspaper today.

BusyBee 01-10-2004 08:02 AM

Hope this is true. If so, there MUST be a part for Paul as the Handsome double cool Prince who takes her to one side and teaches her that magic is not spelt with a J and who falls totally in love with her personality, sweeps her off to the green open spaces of Barnet. plans their wedding in November and they live happily ever after.:love::love::love: :blush:

Oh dear I'm getting carried away. Wonder if ROB has been asked to provide the script.:hugesmile:

Do you think they want an audience:thumbs:

BusyBee 01-10-2004 08:04 AM

Oh sorry BDGA - apologies you must think I am very rude not thanking you for finding this information. You are a Star (no pun intended)

rachb 01-10-2004 08:57 AM

BigSister 01-10-2004 09:38 AM

ooh thanks for this, I would like a good number of people in it i.e couple from BB1, BB2 etc etc but this looks like a fun show

Romantic Old Bird 01-10-2004 10:11 AM

This news is fan-bloody-tastic if true! What fun.

Helen would be perfectly cast as the good fairy who gets her spells wrong. Great!

Don't see paul as Prince Charming anyway - he'd have to pair off with Cinderella then - can't have that. It might be Jade:shocked:

Only says they are in talks about it at the mo, but one lives in hope.

Thanks BDGA  This is great news

Well according to DS - Dean is saying that he has been asked so fingers crossed.

Romantic Old Bird 11-10-2004 07:02 PM

We're all waiting for a bit more info.

Paulwj has gone v quiet recently......hope he isn't in trouble with Josh for the morsel of information he passed on to us.....

Sticks 11-10-2004 07:18 PM

Sorry but this idea is appauling

There are many actors out there learning the craft the hard way and fully paid up members of Equity.

Why should these people, who just entered a game show, be given these plum roles, in preference to those who have worked their butts off to be skilled actors.

If this is true, I expect Equity will be voicing strong objections.

Unless of course all the cast are paid up members of Equity (something I doubt)

Romantic Old Bird 11-10-2004 07:43 PM

Sticks, did you voice these misgivings when first we heard of all the other BB contestants getting Panto parts over the years?

Personally, I think if people are interested enough to want to watch them, why not?

It probably won't happen anyway. One thing we are sure of is that Nadia, Michele etc will be doing their panto bash, just like Cameron did last year, Jade did the year before, Penny did the year before that etc. Helen was offered Panto at the time and turned it down.

I could bear to watch her floating over the stage in a pink tutu, sprinkling glitter and giggling. Better than the Circus, or another showing of The Grinch!

SO WHO ARE YOU CALLING AN UGLY BIG SISTER?

Oct 4 2004

Federico drags it up for BB panto

By Paula Murray

THIS is Big Brother's Federico Martone as you've never seen him before - dressed up as a Big Sister.

The reality show's producers at Endemol have approached housemates from past series to create a new version of the cult programme.

And Scot Federico wants to be cast as an ugly sister for a BB reunion this Christmas.

After another stint in a special house equipped with cameras, the BB cast would perform their version of a classic Christmas panto.

To see what Federico would look like as an ugly sister, he was kitted up at the King's Theatre in Glasgow in the outfit Johnny Watson wore a couple of years ago in the production of Cinderella.

Federico said: 'See, you can't make me ugly even if you try. This is really me. I'm ready to go out again.'

The King's celebrates its centenary this year and will show Christmas panto Mother Goose starring Elaine C Smith and Gerard Kelly.

Federico, who outraged viewers by calling women 'slappers' on Big Brother in 2003, admitted he was aware 'something was brewing'.

The 24-year-old added: 'I've never spoken to anyone at Endemol personally but they have contacted some of the housemates' agents - including mine.

'I would be prepared to do it in principle. And I would love to be a dame and dress up as a woman because I rather enjoy that. It's along the lines of what I normally get up to during the weekends anyway.

'I love Christmas pantomimes and I've heard about other BB contestants doing panto roles left, right and centre.

'I was offered a part when I came out of the house in 2003.'

The former waiter was the fourth housemate to be booted out of the popular TV show last year.

But he has struggled to make a career for himself in showbiz since appearing on Big Brother.

He was sacked from a breakfast show on television after swearing too much.

A spokesman for Endemol said: 'It's not been commissioned. It could well be an idea that has been discussed and maybe something to be developed if it has.'

The latest news from the Panto appears in todays Sun Newspaper 25.10.2004.

LOUDMOUTH Narinder Kaur has signed up for Channel 4’s Christmas Day Big Brother panto, we can reveal.

The 32-year-old quipped: “I think it’s going to be called Narinder-ella.”

She joines ‘Nasty’ Nick Bateman as evil Baron von Hard-Up and dizzy Helen Adams as the Good Fairy.

BusyBee 25-10-2004 08:22 AM

Now what part could Narinder play - would have to be something that wasnt boring and suited a non-stop wannabee.

rachb 25-10-2004 09:31 AM

Thanks BDGA:thumbs:
I think Narinder would make a good wicked witch:hugesmile:
She could disagree with everything the good fairy said:rolleyes:

Lance 25-10-2004 04:59 PM

lol!

Shes worse than the Cheeky Girls...she will never go away...perhaps Ill have to do something about that!

Romantic Old Bird 26-10-2004 09:45 AM

Sounds very threatening Lance!

I suppose one thing about Narinder is that she has never pretended that she isn't a wannabe. She is brazen about it!

Lance 26-10-2004 11:21 AM

That wasnt a threat...it was a promise! If she doesnt go away and take the cheeky girls with her I will remove them permanently from the "shobiz" scene!

BusyBee 26-10-2004 11:25 AM

Whatever you think of Narinder - you have to give her 12/10 for perseverance - she doesnt give up - I suppose it is her dream and we all hve our dreams.

Romantic Old Bird 26-10-2004 06:27 PM

As for the Cheeky Girls though...............

Lance 27-10-2004 10:16 AM

Ya is uppose BusyBee...at least she is perseverent and I suppose you have to be to be lucky in the business especially after being in BB which seems to be cursed!
