The Diary of Anne Frank

Did anyone else watch this?

I thought it was really moving, and brought the realism to millions more people. Well written and acted - well done BBC!

P.S - Did the actor of Anne remind anyone else of a TiBB Member (Male)

Yes, I told Loukas that the girl playing Anne had the same hair as his

Seriously though, I loved this. I like the actress who played Anne's mum, and also the one who played Peter's mum. But it was so good, I'm glad they kept it all in the annexe, and didn't move onto when they were in the concentration camp which would of been too upsetting IMO.

I thought it was really well done.
The end was very moving!

I'm strange I have read Anne's Diary, Otto's accounts of the holocost and watched all of the adaptions... this wasn't the most accurate..but... was by far the best adaption I have seen.. although the narrative diary bits were not bits from her actual diary and the actress who played Anne did not resally look like her... I did love watching this during the week... I agree with Joshuah when he said he would rather the concentration camps scenes were not shown but they are very interesting when you watch other TV adaptions...
In all I did love it... and Peter looked how he is suppose to look... so I'm happy.
I love the BBC for not messing it up..

I watched this all earlier, it was brilliant, the ending was so sad but I'm glad they didn't show the concentration camps that would have been too much in my opinion.

Loukas 10-01-2009 07:45 PM

I don't look NOTHING like her. :nono:

Yes, I watched it, another fabulous adaption of this (now) classic story.
To think all this happend just 20 years before I was born, now it seems so much like ancient history... its spooky, and rather like the resemblence of the actress who played Anne, and our tibb member
