Will a Gorgeous girl ever be liked by the public?
 

It seems to me that most beautiful girls are not liked by the public. It seems that they cant win. If they flirt, they will be branded as a tart and arrogant, if they are like Lucy, they will be called boring.

The only exceptions of this is Rachel, Kate Lawler and to a certain extent Aisleyne.
I mean my friend said that she wanted to aidition (she's stunning), i warned her that if she gets in it will be hard for her because stunning girls dont have a good reputation of being liked.

I wonder why they are not liked, its ridiculous!! What do girls have to do to be liked? I mean out of the 3 i mentioned, 2 of them (Rachel and Kate) werent massive makeup fans and werent into all the girly typical stuff, only Aisleyne was. Do BB viewers think that a girl that puts on makeup is a bitch or something??

Sara got the biggest cheers of the final and crept up from nowhere to take third place so IMO yes :spin2: Even Lucy got quite big cheers last night.

The ones disliked in BB9 were disliked for a very good reason.

Yeahh what about the ones in other series?? Okayy yess i just thought of another (The Twins but they were more sweet) but generally looking back at all the BB's.

Orlaith was stunning and had one of the biggest fanbases in BB6. Also Shell was quite popular as was Nikki.

Kate? Helen? Shell? Makosi? Nikki? Amanda? Sam? Sara? Chantelle? Shilpa?

So, yes. They have and will.

It's just been a coincidence that the majority of the good-looking girls have been dull or complete cows.

Makosi?!?! Perhaps respected by hardcore fans but got one of the worst receptions in BB history and was hated by most.

Yes, but for every hater she did have a fan. She had one of the biggest and most hard-core fan bases on BB6 and she managed to finish 3rd.

She managed to get third by manipulating her housemates to not nominating her and being the only other person in the final that was there from day one.

Gorgeous, ugly liked, disliked popular, unpopular lively and boring are all relative to the beholder's oppinion though hence the apparent contradictions.

So, one could say a gorgeous well liked, lively and popular girl did win BB9, as generally they do in BB, as opposed to the relatively ugly disliked, unpopular and dull Rebecca, which type don't generally do well in this type of show.
Alternatively one could change any combination of the above aspects together with the girls in question and still come up with a equally valid judgement on there charectors and overall oppinion of this subjects argument in general.

It will in the end all come down to individuals oppinion.

she was hated by a lot of people, but she was the forum favourite and loved by a lot of people. She did manipulate, but thats why her fans loved her. I never understood it tbh, but she did have a huge fan base at the time.

Lets not forget she was favourite to win for the first half of the series and it was only when poolgate happened that she started to lose the plot and most turned against her.

I think Makosi's goal was to reach the finale. After that, you can't do anything because different people vote for different things.
Makosi is the only housemate who created such drama but who also provided such entertainment and managed to make BB6 by herself. I mean, when you think about BB6, you think Makosi, not Mary.

Anyway, I agree with Aaron on the fact that it's a pure coincidence if the first out are dumb females with no brains (Bonnie, Steph, Shabnam and co)

Of course. I think people who make statements like "oh they must be jealous of her" are completely wrong.

If a beautiful girl is also likeable, there's no reason why she can't be liked by the public. Pretty simple.

OP, unlikely, apart from rare exceptions, because a lot of the girls that vote, look like this

If theyve got a personality then theyll be liked, hence Kate Lawlers popularity. If theyre borin then no!

If only poor nush had more time to shine in BB4.
