Leon Jackson - Underated?
 

this is going to sound awfull.

But I listened to some of his album, and its not that bad, IMO its better that wet wet wet Leona and Mc.Donalds Shayne, as it has more of a unique sound.

I wont buy it, but I defo feels its underated.

His second single was good... but I just dont think he is being managed well. And he is just not clicking with the public.

Leon Jackson is just an embarrassment compared to Leona, Shayne and Alexandra....even his winners single (which is set-up to sell well) did dismaly. He sounds like a jazz-wannabe and that music really isn't relevant anymore, hence why his album has only sold about 100,000. :hugesmile: He was never going to do well, the only support he had was from Scotland and that whole finale was a patriots battle between Scotland and Wales.

He's devoid of a personality. And I can say that as I've met him :tongue:

His sound is good, You cannot deny he has a good voice. You may not like him fair enough. Yes, he may not have as powerful voices as "little innocent" Leona and Alexandra but that doesnt mean he isnt a good singer.

Also the whole scotland and wales thing. It was portrayed to look like that. Be real! So NO English peopel voted then?

ITS A BRITSIH REALITY SHOW. Britain can vote and english people did vote him believe it or not, just like scotish people would have voted the Leona, Alex etc. :rolleyes:

Thats the problem. He shouldnt have been promoted, like a regular Xfactor pop star. Because his style isnt exactly pop. He could make it if he was promoted correctly, because he can sing.

I never said he couldn't sing. :conf: He's an embarrassment because he's had little success compared to Leona and Alexandra (even though she's had one single)! And his single was beaten out by Peter Kay in drag which no one had heard until the night before it was released...

Again, I never said only Scottish people voted him. I said his support came from Scotland, where it did. Obviously he would have had English fans but places like Scotland tend to be really supportive of people from there...and thats imo why he got so far in the competition.

I think he needs to mature as a person and as a singer. He has potential for the future but he needs to find the right management and the right label to promote his music.

He is basically not the sort of artist that will become an overnight success, but over a long career if people in the business stick with him he could do well.

It's like Aint_mad_atcha said "He shouldnt have been promoted, like a regular Xfactor pop star" he not a pop star in the sense that he is going to have massive hits, especially at this stage of his career, he is more easy listening.
