an hour after she actually went

As its been an hour since Michelle left, that gave them plenty of time to get her to toe the party line no doubt.

I wonder how long ago the interviewed would have been before we get to watch it

BB Endemol Channel 4 and "live" just don't sound right!:xyxwave:

Spike 19-01-2009 09:37 PM

Doesn't it have to be shown within 20minutes to be classed as live?
Its really annoyed me tonight because there was no need to have such a big delay.

Sam1994 19-01-2009 09:37 PM

Stop complaining please! It's just getting so annoying. We know it wasn't live. It's not even their fault it's not live.

whose fault is it then?

BIG-BRO-FAN 19-01-2009 10:01 PM

Does it really matter if it is live or not?

Come on people - there's bigger problems in the world.

pinkmichk 19-01-2009 10:04 PM

dont watch it then if you dont like how they do things
i'm also pretty sure that the house complex has a time limit with the local council etc so that after a certain they arent allowed cos of noise and the like
we all know there is a time delay

The local council for not allowing them to have an eviction crowd after 10pm and Ofcom for ensuring that every live broadcast has to have a delay on it these days.

That's a sweeping statement "EVERY live broadcast has to have a delay"? I don't think so! and it suits Endemol's lazy producers to just switch on the "bird noises" while they have a pizza or whatever!

pinkmichk 19-01-2009 11:02 PM

the delay isnt just for swearing now they have to consider all manner of things like brand names (hence the food shopping although we all know where it comes from) has the shop name covered, music cos of copyright etc, also things like if they talk about things that need to be monitored like drugs for example and also if the conversation potenially could end up basically slanderous about say the royal family
i thought the council thing was right am glad someone else confirmed this

fingers 19-01-2009 11:06 PM

On the ball producers can use a 30 second delay to remove controversial material, Endemol can't even use a 20 minute delay effectively, simpler just to use the mute (censor) button, then they don't have to think!

Brekkie 19-01-2009 11:12 PM

It's recorded early to get rid of the crowd - after 10pm it's nothing to do with OFCOM.

Also when evictions are recorded early the whole show it still recorded as if it was playing out, with just a 4 minute break.

To be fair nobody said tonight's eviction was live - "surprise" may be, but not live.

fingers 19-01-2009 11:17 PM

I love to read all these posts from apologists for Endemol/Ch4 even though they don't have a clue, they stick to the party line!

pinkmichk 19-01-2009 11:20 PM

seriously if you dont like how they work why watch it:conf:

Locke. 19-01-2009 11:22 PM

Who really cares, it's just a tv show.

Standard party liner's response!

As is pinkmichk's

Standard response - "don't criticise our show" we don't care if we get made fools of!

pinkmichk 19-01-2009 11:31 PM

no i am just a fan have been from the word go if people critcise it so what we all have different opinions just dont get why if you really dislike it as much as your posts say (sure i remember you being exactly the same during last summers bb) why watch or do you watch purely to come on a forum and moan about it

actually that was more Aisleyne's fault, as much as I love her. I even asked her once when I met her how did it feel to be the reason that the Final cant be broadcast live ever again? We actually had a good laugh about it

what difference does that make? They dont have to show it after 10pm, only after 9pm. C4 choose to show it so late

hannah. 20-01-2009 12:24 AM

I wish some of you would get over yourselves; what bloody difference does it make to you?

It's just scheduling reasons. They probably don't want to show two eps of BB back-to-back. The schedule would have been published weeks in advance anyway so they wouldn't know who would be evicted.

All these producer conspiracies and agendas... I honestly don't believe they exist.

they didnt need to have two shows back to back, just one show that was on for a bit longer.

hannah. 20-01-2009 01:59 AM

They needed to show the noms to reveal who was up and then give time for voting, so one show wouldn't have worked, and they couldn't show the first part of highlights earlier than 9 because of the watershed aswell as obvious scheduling issues.

I didnt watch the early show, but didnt the voting stop at the end of that show anyway. And the earlier show was at 8pm tonight, unless you were watching on C4 +1 I guess...:joker:
