I've a couple of things that irritate me.

Firstly, drivers who beep their horns to let someone know they are waiting outside their house for them. There's a taxi driver that picks someone up close to where I live who does it just because he's too lazy to get out of his car and ring the door bell. It happened one Saturday morning about 8 a.m. when I was having my lie-in and woke me up - I wasn't very happy

Secondly, cars that park on pavements. This really bugs me. Pavements are for pedestrians!!

.......and relax! I feel better now that I've got that off my chest

Amy 07-11-2004 11:15 AM

BigSister 22-11-2004 07:25 PM

I agree Rach but im also annoyed with annoying customers who ask stupid questions for no reasons

rachb 22-11-2004 07:45 PM

I agree with that one aswell BS having been there aswell

Sticks 22-11-2004 09:05 PM

I am irritated by shop staff who are ignorant of the items their store sells.

Once when looking for anything done by Gilbert & Sullivan in Virgin records, I had to use the line from Star Trek Insurrection, "They're 19th century composers"

steve_o 23-11-2004 03:01 PM

I am iritated by customers like you, who expect us to know every irrelevant detail about every line that stores sell these day's. Bet you go into Tescos and expect the staff there to know what every ingredient there is in Bovril, at the tills with a mile long queue behind you. Then kick off when they can't answer the questions. :nono:

But a supermarket is not a specialist store though, it is a completely different set up.

My experience was with a specialist store, i.e a record store, and I thought it reasonable for someone working in a specialist store to know of what musical genre, Gilbert and Sullivan were from.

Incidentaly when I visited HMV, they instantly knew what I was talking about and I was able to purchase a 4 CD set. Is it too much to ask that in specialist shops staff have some breadth of product knowledge?

Well said Steveo! I work in retail too and to know EVERYTHING about EVERY product in the store is Impossible! if you did you would'nt work there you'd be in a better job!

I'm irritated by people who take over things other people have started and make it look like their own!
