According channel 4 " Due to web video's No LF this summer


Just had email back from Channel 4,

" Our overall aim this summer, will be giving the fans just what they need with more commitment in supplying more exciting clips directly on the channel 4 website.

We do not feel there is enough demand for live feed viewing and have no plans for this to return during the summer in 2009. "

Everyone is not happy about this. DS are planning on giving C4 as much as emails as they can and are planning a boycott. Im soo pissed.....

Unless C4 have a change of heart and realise how axing it really impacted on viewers enjoying the series I'm not expecting it back.

Last year when the axed the web feed for Hijack everyone was saying "oh, it's just for hijack, it'll be back in the summer", but it was blatantly obvious it wouldn't be - and I'm not expecting C4 to see sense and reverse the decision in the summer.


The TV Show is back on Saturday - be interesting to see if they mention how many complaints C4 have got over it, and if they have anyone on to repeat the same pathetic excuse. Really it's like saying YouTube is popular, so TV should be axed.

How do they know that there's no demand? We don't even have it it to prove otherwise.

So, now it's just a Daily Show. How boring.

So, now they can hide everything from us that they don't want us to see, so that they don't get in trouble. Thanks assholes who called Ofcom every five seconds.

I didn't watch that much live feed but it was nice to put it on if I wanted to.
I do miss the live feed and it needs to be brought back to start winnning fans over again

Plus I wouldn't base it on an email that has no validity, anyone could have made it up

No wonder people who watched BB get called sad, I mean if you have enough time to watch the live feed for hours on end then its time to get a job

Also I don't know how you can sit there for at least half an hour and just watch people basically do nothing, nothing interesting happens on live feed, when something interesting does happen they play bird noises, and change the camera so its not on the "action" or they play a recorded series of shots from around the house. Its no wonder there wasn't as much live feed, because its boring!, not that many people actually want to watch people lying down, eating, and talking. Thats why there is such thing as a highlights show, and also some of you might complain that the highlight show is edited badly, well thats probably because nothing interesting has actually happened on Big Brother that day...

It's not about watching it 24/7, it's about knowing the HMs can be watched 24/7, which is the core principle of the show.

No live feed is like having Millionaire with no million pound jackpot. You might not see anyone win it that often, but without the possibility of it, the show is nothing.

Totally agree with you Brekkie:thumbs:, i dont think you can get into series properly if you dont watch at least some of the LF, well thats how i feel anyway IMHO

But if noone watched it whats the point? It might have been the core of the show when it first started but not anymore its not. Times change, and the highlights show is now where its at.

Without live feed people dont feel motivated to watch.... only seeing 3/4 hours a day is bad because the producers could edit it badly for one HM mor ethan another. At least in BB9 we knew who was being edited in the wrong way because we watched live feed... but in CBB6 we didnt. 13 weeks without it will piss people right off.

I'm sure some of them don't lol.

What about the people who sit on an internet forum for hours on end?

They really shouldn't do that. What a waste of time that is. They're all probably going to the same person, who will just need to keep pressing send to give the same automated response out.

well i'm not fussed by it and i shall repeat what i said during cbb its not like its been cut completely there is still some live feed on

:mad: I hope it does it's not the same just relying on the highlights every night I enjoyed watching the live feed.
