You can also cook in the Oven.

For One Pound
with all the bad stuff not in it,
it is a bargain.

Add some Salad
you have a meal.

Tom 26-02-2009 11:41 AM

For £1 you could also get a bag of pasta and a few jars of pasta sauce and there you have more than one meal

Frozen/packet food in general just = :yuk:

Its like rubber

If the media never told you we were in a recession would you still be out of pocket or feel as though you are? Probably not, you wouldn't even notice!

arista 26-02-2009 12:03 PM

Actually, as much as I disagree usually with Arista, the recession in this country has only just started and will get worse. I'm old enough to remember the last one in the early 90's and so many people lost their jobs, homes and well, everything.

This time around it's worse. Many people have already lost their jobs, the amount of undergraduates out of work is at it's highest in 50 years.

The younger generations/people still with jobs won't be too affected yet. Next year however, prices on most stuff will rise quite sharply, yet wages will remain the same. Meaning people need to start saving now, as we will have a repeat of the early 90's but worse because now the pound has the Euro to contend with (and the pounds losing).

Shopping in poundland is ok, and Lidl. I'd rather be safe than sorry and broke this time next year.

LOL Arista...just LOL...particularly..."Add some salad you have a meal" and "you can also cook in oven" heheheee

And its NOT New Labour that caused the Recession! HOW MANY TIMES??

No it's a combination of Labour and that damn US mortgage company lending money to people who could never afford to pay it back. Bugger them! They caused this, and we have to pay the price for their mistakes.

NettoSuperstar! 26-02-2009 12:30 PM

The only thing Labour didnt do was regulate the banks, hindsight n all. Tories would never have done that either fo sho
