Ex-footballer Lee Chapman has become the latest star to pull out of Celebrity Big Brother.

He pulled out just days before the show's kick-off - leaving makers Endemol desperate to sign big names.

Lee, 44, who is married to actress Leslie Ash, turned down £100,000 to appear.

A friend said: "The money offers weren't quite right and he had doubts about some housemates."

Victoria Silvstedt pulled out of the C4 reality show after accepting a TV presenting job in America.

Former Page 3 stunner Sam Fox and ex-Hear'Say star Myleene Klass are possible replacements.

Former footballer Frank McAvennie has been dropped in favour of drug shame goalie Mark Bosnich.

A C4 insider said: "It's all very last-minute. It's a nightmare."

The show starts on Channel 4 on Thursday.
