Jade Goody to have emergency op to ease her pain
PETRIFIED Jade Goody told surgeons to operate on her "to get me out of all this pain".

The cancer-stricken 27-year-old, who has been given just weeks to live, spent a weekend in "agony".

And medics hoped to give her some relief by operating on her last night or early today.

The Big Brother star was taken from her hospice to the Royal Marsden Hospital, in Fulham, south-west London, last night.

Her publicist Max Clifford said: "She's very frightened. She was sobbing on the phone to me. She said, 'Why can't they get me out of all this pain?'

"Hopefully that's what they're going to do. She was sobbing and she was petrified but is still desperately trying to put on a brave face."

Doctors have told Jade that she has weeks to live after cervical cancer spread to her liver, groin and bowel. She was taken to St Clare Hospice, near Harlow, Essex, on Friday night and had been due to return to her home in nearby Upshire today.
But Clifford said doctors had explained that bowel surgery was likely to be the best option.

He added: "She says they've explained things to her and that's what's likely to happen. She said, 'Whatever gets me out of this pain'."

Clifford denied Goody's admission to hospital was a setback, adding: "It's a continuing process but we hope they will be able to get things under control.

"She wants to go home. She doesn't want to be in hospital."

Her new husband Jack Tweed yesterday took Jade's five-year-old son Bobby, an avid Spurs fan, to the Carling Cup final against Manchester United.

Jack, under a 7pm police curfew after being released from jail for attacking a teenager with a golf club, won't be at Jade's bedside today as he is due to stand trial on another assault charge.

The 21-year-old, criticised for not spending enough time with his new wife, is said to be "beside himself".

A source said: "Jack's been crying himself to sleep every night and has been unable to get to sleep before 6am.

"He feels bad not being able to be there with Jade and is really beating himself up about it."

Jade hoped to be christened next Saturday at a church close to her home with sons Bobby and Freddie, four.

But as her condition worsened, she realised that she might not make it that long. She was in such pain she began to fear she had only days left to live.

She scrapped plans for a party and said she would settle for a bedside ceremony.
A pal said: "Jade is just desperate to be christened before she goes."

Yesterday, one man claiming to be a faith healer was given a talking-to by police after trying to get in to see Jade at the hospice.

I hope she and her sons get to be christened. I imagine she'll make it till then.

I'm glad the operation was a success.

Thanks for the articles Red.

Jade Goody is understood to have been moved to a different hospital after being admitted for treatment to help relieve the pain caused by her terminal cancer.

The 27-year-old was taken from the Royal Marsden Hospital in a wheelchair and was driven away in a waiting ambulance.

Her spokesman Max Clifford said his "instinct" was that she was being taken to the oncology unit at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, also in south west London, for further assessment.

"She had a much better night - whatever they did relaxed her," Mr Clifford told Sky News.

"I understand she's been having tests and scans this morning.

"I believe she has been moved to the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital for further tests or surgery depending on what the scans reveal."

The former Big Brother star was readmitted to hospital last night, after spending Sunday in 'agony' at a hospice.

Mr Clifford, said she had been told an operation to remove a blockage from her bowel might be needed to relieve the pain.

He added that Goody had been coping "remarkably" with her condition.

"In terms of her spirit, she has been very brave and positive. It is only when she is in considerable pain that she has been sobbing," he told Sky News.

"Other than that, she has been very upbeat and is looking forward to the christening of her sons."

Meanwhile, Goody's husband, Jack Tweed, 21, is in court in Essex today facing a charge of assault. It is alleged he attacked a taxi driver last May Day bank holiday.
Prosecutors told magistrates that Tweed, 21, of Buckhurst Hill, Essex, lost his temper after leaving a club in Epping.

They said Tweed, who denies assault, grabbed the driver around the neck while the car was moving and swore at him.

As Tweed faces magistrates, Mr Clifford said Goody's sons, Bobby, five, and Freddie, four, may visit their mother in hospital "providing she is well enough and out of pain".

"She just wants to be at home with the kids and obviously with Jack," he said.
Doctors have told Goody that she has weeks to live after her cervical cancer spread to her liver, groin and bowel.

Goody and her sons are due to be christened next Saturday at a church close to her home.

She also plans to record a television interview with Piers Morgan for ITV early this week, Mr Clifford said.
