What did you do for Red Nose Day?

What did you do?!

- Our school had non uniform, wear red, like.. or go mad!
- Cakes and competitions at break
- 6th form are doing a 12 hour football match!! 6.30am till 6.30pm!

My brother is doing it! xD

They are all in fancy dress.. it was SO funny! They had raised £500 at break time alone!

Considering our school only has 600 pupils, £500 just for the match is great!!

I think our school will have raised over a grand!

Whoo!

Harry! 13-03-2009 03:01 PM

My school had a 'Oops upside your head' dance at break. They raised over £200 so one UNLUCKY male teacher is going to have his LEGS WAXED.

Greg.! 13-03-2009 03:02 PM

Our School Raised £2500, £2 for non school uniform

Fom 13-03-2009 03:07 PM

I'm not sure how much we raised but on weds we had a dress up day, We had Mr Blobby, Borat... and loads more, was hilarious. We had Red noses on sale, big red alien antenna things, face paints, and karaoke and all that. Like a big party at dinner.

We usually raise about £2000, we do one every month.

^ They are the most annoying thing ever and just an excuse for the expressive arts thing to sing and dance in the middle and annoy the hell out of everyone else :nono:

Anyway I did nothing because I'm miserable, I donated £1 though :dance2::laugh2:

MarkWaldorf 13-03-2009 03:15 PM

Absolutely nothing. My headteacher doesn't believe in home clothes or non-school activities.

I however, haven't ate all day. My gift to CR shall be experiencing what an African child goes through each day.

Firewire 13-03-2009 03:17 PM

Our school had:

* Dress down day (wear red or something funny)
* Face painting
* Red nose cakes
* Teachers vs. Pupils Penalty Shootout.

pinkmichk 13-03-2009 03:28 PM

i brought a couple of red noses and a red nose pen also put some money in the pot at my daughters nursery so she could go dressed as a fairy

NettoSuperstar! 13-03-2009 03:29 PM

I've sponsered a child from the third world

ILoveTRW 13-03-2009 03:42 PM

I did nothing, I didn't even realise it was comic relief today until i was the TV listing for tonight when i got back from college :blush2:

Dom:D 13-03-2009 03:43 PM

Everyone in school paid a fiver for no homework for a week :laugh2:

GhettoSuperstar 13-03-2009 03:44 PM

Even though I'm ill I went to college then came home and had some lunch and now I'm in bed watching 90210. Thanks for asking.

MrGaryy 13-03-2009 03:56 PM

Nothing. I bought Just Can't Get Enough though.

*mazedsalv** 13-03-2009 04:25 PM

I do nothing on RND!

HeatherTWx 13-03-2009 04:54 PM

-We had to give a minimum of £1 for being in non uniform.
-People were doing sponsered silences and things. (dead funny half the stuff)
-There was a rock concert at lunch. minimum of 50p entry.
-Cakes were on sale at lunch too 10p for one but apparently there were 7 boxes with about 100 cakes in each and we sold about 5 of the boxes so was good!
-Loads of people dressed up in red ofcourse.

so we've probably raised quite a bit

Barbie 13-03-2009 04:55 PM

Everyone wore red

i paid 2 people to dress completely head to toe in red

and 2 people to get waxed

bronaaaa 13-03-2009 05:05 PM

BigSister 13-03-2009 06:17 PM

Loukas 13-03-2009 06:24 PM

My school was red. Litterally EVERYONE was in red, either that or in a police outfit like a spanish teacher. Everyone paied a £ and there was a huge cake sale and a dance comp. We made around £2500!!!

Gemmer-x 13-03-2009 06:40 PM

My college had fancy dress, these 4 lads were dressed as women walking round all day in heels so i put some change in their bucket. ooh and i gave mario + lugie a quid
Also, we had a britain's got talent style competition at lunch + that was £1 a ticket to watch
if i had more money i'd donate more but i'm absolutely skint atm, paying for re-sit exams/ a holiday is not cheap :(

Rob 13-03-2009 07:07 PM

nothing, the school where i work does nothing for any events like this anymore as the kids cannot behave

Ninastar 13-03-2009 07:23 PM

Well

I paid 2 pound for non school uniform.
I made red cupcakes for my sisters class ( they were sold out in 3 mins lol )
And the whole school did a conga ( 1300 students plus about 200 teachers) and apparently we have won the school conga record lmao x

LemonJam 13-03-2009 07:25 PM
