Prehaps that is true but I dont know for fact. You have 5 dreams a night and you usally remember the last one (Sometimes I remember them all!)

MarkWaldorf 13-03-2009 04:27 PM

Don't remember last night. Last dream(nightmare) which I had and really remember was where Mark Owen died and I saw his coffin being carried and I broke down and sank down to the ground sobbing. It was HORRIBLE.

How many dreams you have depends on how many REM-peaks you have throughout sleep - but you're more likely to remember the last one unless you wake suddenly from a delta-wave sleep.

Anyway, this afternoon I had a nap - and naps are usually REM sleep - and I dreamt about being in a safari... or something equally shite. Dunno.

I found that strange when I had a lecture on it,I always thought it would be deep sleep you'd have dreams in but its usually the start and end.

Never realised until I kept falling asleep on the train with music on and the lyrics would get into my dreams and freak me out

I used to think that if I thought about things before I slept - I'd never dream of them. It was always things that had happened but I hadn't thought about.

So what I used to do is think about scary things (zombies, ghosts, murder etc) before I went to sleep in order to "ensure" I didn't dream about them LOL. Didn't work.

Princess 15-03-2009 01:39 AM

Awwwww Loz! That's kinda cute :P Poor thing! Dream's are really weird things,if we all had normal dreams I doubt anyone would find them so fascinnating.

Lauren 15-03-2009 10:39 AM

Last night I dreamt I was looking for my Psychology timetable. I'd woke up at 11am and didn't know if I had lectures or not that day and was panicking cos I kept finding old timetables from term 1. But then I found a panda/gorilla soft toy with "Edinburgh University Conservation" on it's belly, and I was like 'oh god that trip was so good'... :puzzled:

Rapid Eye Movement.
It's a type of sleep where you're likely to have weird dreams. It's a kind of "light" sleep because your heartrate and "electronic" waves are still fast like you're awake, but your muscles are tense and your eyes are blinking rapidly - but you're asleep.

You know when you're just dropping off to sleep and you can kinda hear things around you, but you're sleeping, and can feel yourself going into sleep? It's that, but a tiny bit deeper. :spin2:

Tom 15-03-2009 11:07 AM

Its like when you dream as well and your eyes follow what youre dreaming as though youre really there

I dunno though I did it about 2 years ago and nowhere near as in depth as that with delta waves and stuff :joker:

LemonJam 15-03-2009 11:29 AM

Ohhh right. Cheers guys.

Ninastar 15-03-2009 11:33 AM

Ok thanks. I was gunna ask but i was scared lol.

Does anyone know why we randomly like jump or like move quickly and wake up when were in that state? It's not even when theres a bang or a scream you just jump in your sleep and wake up lol x

Fom 15-03-2009 12:22 PM

I had a dream last night, it was me trying to write a book, and I couldn't think of anything so I drove round in a circle in a car... and had 2 people chasing me, then I ended up in a college studio, but in my old school. And Kelly Clarkson started playing, then another song that I got mixed up with Kelly but it was actually Duffy.

Can't remember anymore.

It's from evolution. Sleeping was a weakness when we were cavepeople LOL, we have reflexes that stop us from falling deep deep into sleep sometimes, because back in those times it was a danger to just sleep. Our brain now sends impulses as we're dropping off.
