British former reality TV star and current terminal cancer patient Jade Goody is a national obsession. She will die soon. But not soon enough for OK! magazine.

OK's UK edition this week: the "Jade Goody Official Tribute Issue." "Final Words"! I guess "1981-2009" is a fair guess, but uh, patience is a virtue? Jade Goody remains annoyingly alive.

Whether alive or dead, she's fully owned by OK! The mag bought the rights to her wedding last month for an estimated 700,000 pounds, and then refused to allow her friend and biographer to attend it, because she worked for a different magazine. No word on whether Jade can sell the actual moment of her death separately, but if so, OK! is sure to snap it up for a(nother) final edition. Shame and repugnance do not exist!

But she moves a lotta magazines, alive or otherwise!

Ugh, i saw that magazine cover on Perez Hilton. It's very tasteless.

pinkmichk 17-03-2009 04:27 PM

i've just seen this and find it in very very bad taste as she is still alive so by them doing a memorial issue (which is basically what it is) purely to make money inbetween the christening and wedding issues and the impending death of jade which i am guessing they will cover
maybe this just goes to prove that all the media coverage of every little detail is a bad thing like so many (including myself) think cos i highly doubt that they would have done this if it wasnt for the selling of every detail
how must seeing that make her family and friends feel they are already going through hell

Fom 17-03-2009 04:46 PM

Don't see how its bad taste tbh, what is more distasteful is how the article writes 'she is annoyingly still alive'. Hm.

To be fair, the kind of people who read OK! want this, and they know she is going to die this week so why not release it this week?

Tom 17-03-2009 04:47 PM

They should have just made a different magazine and had this Jade one as a stand in for when the time comes

Hugo 17-03-2009 05:12 PM

She's not dead.
Thats horrible, even so she's about to die.

A Miracle may stil happen, Imagine how embarrased they would feel if it did!

MarkWaldorf 17-03-2009 05:13 PM

They were probably told that Jade would die around this date. It really just proves how Jade is fighting on...

If Jade does die this week, I suppose it wouldn't be as embarrassing for the magazine.

I highly doubt a miracle will happen, it is beyond that point. Especially with treatment stopped and all that, if nothing is stopping it the cancer will just keep growing.

I think whatever view you take on the whole debacle that is pretty much the most disrespectful thing I've ever seen.

But is she passing away this week?

Ch4 News said it was a Error?

Brekkie 17-03-2009 09:03 PM

A pretty big error considering they've been advertising the issue tonight.

pinkmichk 17-03-2009 09:05 PM

i cant see how its a error when its on web adverts and tv adverts so not just a minor slip out of a future mag that a pic was released of in the wrong time

Mrluvaluva 17-03-2009 09:32 PM

I find this disgusting. They should allow her her final dignity. The poor woman should be left alone now.

Princess 17-03-2009 11:00 PM

That is disgraceful.

I've been abominably critical but I've not stooped so low as to write an obituary for the beastly woman despite her being very much alive.

DON'T BUY ANY GOSSIP MAGS/TABLOIDS! THEY'RE EVIL.

Brekkie 17-03-2009 11:21 PM

Someone on another forum just pointed out the issue number. How ironic.

pinkmichk 17-03-2009 11:26 PM

maybe ok mag knew something others dont the press has been fairly quiet over the last 24 hours and i've just read on a different forum that rumours are she passed away at half 7 tuesday evening obviously i dont know if that is true and there is nothing on skynews

Damn good troll attempt. We failed.
