Any Interview Tips?
 

I have two job interviews tomorrow and its my first interview in about 3 years. Does anyone have any good tips on how I can sell myself without sounding like everyone else that they see?

I am trying to stay away from the whole "i am hardworking and can work in a team" etc thing.

Any advise?

Well when the guy called me to tell me about the interview I asked him if he could email me the address so I could put it in my sat nav...

And he was like mmm its my personal email address but yeah ok then...

Its like DJDENZIE! LOL I have no idea what to expect :laugh2:

I wouldnt know as i havnt had a work interview yet, but I was given tips for college interviews (which i got to say was really easy), but i would say the main is:

Sit up and smile... but not too much becaise then you look like a creep
Eye contact... but not too much, may come across as a scary stalker taht never blinks.
Hand movements are always good
Or you can just go in wearing nothing and expect for the best.:spin:

Like salv said - eye contact and smiling.

But also confidence. Show enthusiasm for what you're applying for.

Most of that is better than the actual things you say, haha,

At times it can turn into a Q&A interview, ask about things, show enthusiasm about the job, wear smart clothes, eye contact, smile but one thing that might pop up is... "do you have any questions?" be ready for that! That might hold your fate..

Be nice and stay cool

Will there be many waiting for the same Job?

Wear a really low cut top.

You have to want the job for what it is and not want the job just for the sake for having a job! If you know what i mean..
Many others will be wanting the job aswell.

You have to sell yourself, enthusiastic, enjoys a challenge, flexible, determined to succeed, confident, positive, flexible, can learn new skills, honest, prepared to undergo training... You have to sell yourself to them that you want that job, you are the woman for the job!!

Lol, depends on the job and boss... But no! That would be a huge mistake.

So my aura will get me a job but I have to not wear a low cut top and be confident.

Mmmm I am planning on wearing a pinstripped pencil skirt and ruffled shirt and shoes? Sound good?

Yeah should be ok, but you have to let them know you are the right woman for the job!

Haha aww thanks Andy. I dont even know if I really want this one. I applied for soooo many. And there one I really want but lots of people will be applying for... So right now - it is just anything to get out of the job that I am in just now.

Stick with the job where you are, go get your HGV provisonal, take lessons, pass, get licence, get HGV driving job... Pukka!:dazzler:

I cant stay in the job that I am. I have been off work for three months on the sick cos i hate the place soooo much.

Well having two interviews is better than none..
What is your ideal job that will make you happy?

Being in accounts or payroll. I work in a call centre now for inland revenue and my manager is a C U N T! I honestly hate him and want to leave.

I want to work in an office working with numbers and naked men

As for the naked men, that would have to be adult movies.. Or rugby club nurse!

If you do leave your job, remember to make you manager cry, revenge on how much of a dick he is should be fun.... and then he cant sack you because you will be leaving.

Like my sister manager has been horrible to almost all of the people that work there and has made the staff cry and my sister told him to p**s off and **** and she didnt even get told off, i actually think he's scared of my sister :bigsmile:
