Cabin crew

Ok so I was wondering if anyone on the forum had any relatives/friends etc who work as a flight attendant or have done in the past. Its something I`ve always wanted to do,not as my main career in life but while I`m still young and when i don`t have any responsibilities such as children.I really don`t know where to start though,I found this website but I`m worried it may be a con or a waste of:joker::shrug:

I plan to do it in a few years, its the only job I have in mind which I would be happy to do
I think going directly to the airlines will be a better shot than that, I have been looking at them recently and they do their own courses all over the country

I trained and studied to do it but its not that fun.

Well first of all i studied at college. Where i did travel and tourism. a whole unit was dedicated to studying air travel. and we went to see what the training is like.

You have to a really calm person and able to keep completly calm under preasure. You have to be quite fit aswell cos there is a lot of moving around and its quite physically demaning.

Obviously you need to be comfortable with flying. you need to be a friendly person because theres the customer service side of the job. the rest is common sense really.

O and you kinda have to be comfortable with the fact that if theres a disaster in the air your expected to help out your passengers before you help yourself. so really you have to put your life on the line to save others. thats what is expected anyway.

True it is Hard Work.

And Now BA crew may go on strike if many more are sacked.

Nothing like in the Movies
you need to be a Grafter.

But if you work hard
you can soon go up a ladder,
like at McDonalds.

Life In The City.
