Liverpool Collective - Fields of Anfield Road [20th Anniversary of Hillsborough Disaster]
 

A REWORKING of a football terrace song commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster goes on sale today.

Some of Liverpool's best-known musicians have recorded a version of the Kop anthem, The Fields of Anfield Road, with former Liverpool FC players and members of the Hillsborough Families Support Group.

Went in at #16 in the charts today, should rise next week with the anniversary being on wednesday

My mum and her friend are going to the Anfield ground on Wednesday to celebrate the 20th Annivsersary of the Hillsborough disaster,


I used to live in Sheffield years ago, we lived ten minutes away from the Hillsborough Ground, my mum and dad really want to go to this match on April 15th 1989 but my dad said it wasnt safe for them to go because it would be really busy and also my mum was going to give birth to me the next month

I heard it on Radio 1, I think it's number 16 atm?
