Can anyone tell me....
......what "chav" means?
I've heard it a few times recently and have no idea what it means!!!! Thanks. |
Well it's someone a bit common who wears burbery and named brands etc. Mike Skinner aka the streets is an example of a chav, Brian Harvey and Daniella Westbrook also chavs.

They are peculiar to the Newcastle / Tyneside region
They defy authority and have the expectation of living off of benefits and anything they can "liberate" |
Have a look at this link it will educate you on the wonders of Chavs and the things that they think of as uniform lol

Well, everyone around this area (younger people mostly) has used the term Chav and chavvie ever since I can remember. here it just means 'sort': 'i.e. there was this chav' or 'ay-up chav!' as a form of greeting.
I can certainly remember it being in use around here for the past 40 years. Is this different? |
