im thinking of going Emo, i tried when i was younger to pull it off but i failed. probably cos i was fat then.

Does anyone else find the emo look really hot. is anyone on here emo?

I don't think you can 'go' emo from choice. Your either emo or your not. Its a mindset.

i was actually really emo at school but i stopped cos i was bullied for it so i just dressed and looked normally like everyone else for the sake of fitting in.

Ive never liked the look at all... 1 of my friends is like that but all my other guy mates and me just stay like we are...

Just cause you wear skinny jeans and have big hair don't mean your emo. For a start thats more sceneesque but whatever. I wear skinnies [only blue though], don't mean I'm emo or scene. [I'm really nowhere near either]

If you want to have the 'emo' look then fairenough but the 'emo' mindset just aint very good. Aint emo short for emotional? Aka depressed. Thats why the mindset stereotypes slitting wrists and shitt. I doubt 'being emo' is cool Mambo.

Me and my friends use the term 'Emo' and 'Scene' as offensive. I think it looks stupid, I love the rocker look, but they take it a bit too far.

No offence OP, I do like you!! This is just a niggle of mine.

I just hate how people decide to "become" something and give it a label. Why not just be yourself instead of declaring it, or giving it a name and following "group norms" - it reeks of desperation.

If you like the style, when wear the things you do like. Why do you feel the need to then give it a name? Fashion and groups are fluid, so make your own!!

I agree with Lauren. Wear what you want but dont have a label. I switch so much. I have what is considered 'big hair' and I could not be less emo if I tried! Probably cos I'm blonde not black haired, but anyway

I have a friend with the exact same hair as that picture and he is more chav than emo.

Take what you like about the look, and use it but dont call yourself emo :)

Go for multiple trends. These days its all about being versatile. :hugesmile:
