According to someone somewhere else, live feed will not be coming back this year.

Channel 4 have just announced that they are closing all their forums at the end of the month, they must be in a mess.

I just wish they had axed BBLB instead of live feed. :sad:

can i say i have sent a email to channel4 to tell them to keep the live feed so if you want u email them and say
i am a big brother fan i love the live feed so keep it as it does well in the day when someone is at work at night and it dose well at night when someone works at night just send them that

Midlandman, I have just emailed in asking if it is true and saying that I will not be watching this summer if LF is not returning. They usually reply quite quickly, but I bet they are inundated with emails at the moment. I'll post as soon as they reply.

I might sound really crazy here but, i am sure the whole point of Big Brother is to watch people live anytime?
I am sure thats the whole idea of he Big Brother format, to have so many people in a house that are being filmed 24/7 as they do their thing in the house, and the public watch it live anytime on the net?

So if it's true what the OP says, is it fair to say that Channel 4 have killed the real format of the show?
The highlights are there for those that can't watch it live, don't want to watch it live or can only catch few hours of live feed, hence the highlights of the best bits of the day.

People watch live feed at various times during the day and night, this is the main format of Big Brother, to watch them, to know what they are doing... Hence the name Big Brother!
The format needs live feed and highlights... What it don't need is Channel 4 being tw@s!

This is all about Funds.
Or lack of them

Live feed is an essential part of bb in my opinion. Even if you do watch it when you should be asleep, and end up feeling S*** in the morning. :laugh:

I agree, make the HM's suffer. They should go back to BB1 with the IKEA bought house, make them grow their own veg to save money on food, give them half as many parties as usual and they'd save loads. As far as I know it is free to get tickets for evictions, why not charge £5, it's a small amount to go to an eviction, but would bring in a fair bit.

I'd pay to watch LF and have told C4 so. I bet loads of people would. I just can't see how it costs them so much money.

This is pathetic!!! C4 and BB is pathetic!! The whole point of the show is to watch 24/7, thats why it was supposed to be different to other shows, this is the worst decision ever, i can just see the low ratings already :rolleyes:

I don't see how having no live feed is going to make people go. 'Ooo I can't watch now cause of there being no live feed'. I personally don't care about the livefeed. Who watches it 24/7 anyway. :|

well all the forum members on many forums will not watch, fans that havnt visited the forums will come onto them, but because theres no live feed, theres no news on the forums, the people then think to themselves "How come there is no news?" and then we wont know any news updates and people will get bored of it because BB always manipulates the show by editing people in good/bad ways (with LF you could see their true selves).

And more people watch LF then you think, at interesting times viewers reach 600-800,000 (which considering an average of 3.2m watch now, is a pretty big part of it), and on launch the live feed is watched by almost 1m sometimes.

When theres nothing on, people might just want to turn it on, but knowing BB they will schedule the times at 2pm-4pm (where there eating lunch), and then from midnight onwards (when most HMs are in bed).

The whole point of BB was to monitor people 24/7 and see what they did.

Soo overall...it looks like it will make quite a big difference on how the show is viewed

If there is any important news it would be on the website or whatever. I see what you mean about the whole point of it but I really don't see how its gonna make such a difference.

I think it might make quite a big difference, i dont think CBB6 failed only because it wasnt that interesting, on the first Monday, the ratings got to 4.1m and then 4m for Lucy's eviction (okay it may be because she went that the ratings went, maybe it lost the male audience), but i guess the live feed made quite a big impact because then all lof a sudden BB was hitting all time lows of 1.9m and was continually getting under 3m, I think it was quite weird that it dropped an audience of about 1.3m in a week. And the final only got 3.3m! And that was after 3 weeks of no live feed, imagine after 13-14 weeks without it!

I really don't think it was because of live feed. I dunno what is so good about it. Its pretty boring really.
