Big Brother twins to star in Carlisle panto
 

Seeing double? The first ever set of twins in the Big Brother house have landed a starring role in Carlisle’s Christmas pantomime.

Sam and Amanda Marchant, 20, will star in Dick Whittington’s Pirate Adventure at the Sands Centre in December.

The blonde twins have hit the big time since their appearance on the Channel 4 TV show two years ago and are now millionaires.

They released their debut single of Aqua’s Barbie Girl last year and are ready to record their new single Honey Love.

David McNeill, promotions manager with Cumbrian Newspapers, said: “We are delighted to have the twins in this year’s pantomime. They appeal to everyone – but particularly a younger audience.”

“Since they starred in Big Brother they have become huge. They are always in Hello and OK magazines. They are hugely popular and are currently working on a fitness DVD.“Having twins in the panto gives us real novelty value. We’ve also got Wayne Smith coming back to play Dick. He was great in last year’s show.”The girls will celebrate their 21st birthday in June with a party on a pink boat on the Thames.

The panto, sponsored by our sister paper, the News & Star,, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, runs at the Sands Centre from December 16 until January 3.
