FIFA 2018/2022 bids

Brazil is the confirmed host for 2014. Many countries are vying to host the 2018 and 2022 FIFA world cup. I know that Japan and South Korea are in the fray for co-hosting the event with the help of neighbouring countries. Do these counties have the infrastructure and backup to support a massive event like the FIFA World Cup?

Japan and Korea are in the race to bid as hosts for the 2018 or may be 2022 world cups along with other countries like the USA, Spain, Australia, England, Russia, Mexico and Qatar. You will get details about this from the site Deleted link

And indonesia.

And south korea and qatar are only bidding for 2018 not 2022. Where the rest are doing both.

England or Spain should get it, if it was in england id buy some tickets to go watch at Emirates stadium.

Japan deffo has the infastructure, its richer than the UK atm. Although countries with a larger football orientated lifestyle like the UK, Spain and Mexico should have more of a chance.

Japan and Korea got it a couple of years ago didn't they?

They hosted it in 2002 and your only need a 2 world cup gap inbetween before you can make another bid.

so 2006, 2010...

and 2014 is already brazils so they are going for 2018.

Im hoping England or Spain get it 2 best football leagues in the world.

With some great stadiums, Spains are probably better.

After the olympics, UK will have bigger and better stadiums anyway, hopefully we will get it :) I have alwayswanted to go to a world cup game

They normally try and spread it around the continents, so I reckon USA and England/Spain.

We wont have much better than we do now.

We will have the olympic stadium.
Wembley (90,000)
Old Trafford (76,212)
Emirates (60,355)
St James Park (52,387)
Stadium of Light (49,000)
Manchester Stadium (47,726)
Anfield (45,522)
Villa Park (42,573)
Stamford bridge (42,055)
Goodison Park (40,158)

If its the whole Uk
Millennium Stadium (74,500)
Hampden Park (52,103)
Ibrox Stadium (51,082)

Thats all the stadiums that can qualify for the world cup, as they have to be 40,000 +

I think Usa have the best stadiums biggest n that.
And were probably second for how many.

So hopefully 2018 Usa
2022 Uk.

Edit: By 2018 Tottenham may not be at white hart lane anymore and may have a stadium with a 52,000 capacity.
