You\'ll MISS it when its gone!!!!!

I am absolutley sick of reading all the negative posts on here.

You all seem to be assuming that BB is coming to the end and writing it off as a waste of time.

Its so disheartening to see its fans saying 'Oh its gona so bad' etc etc, when in fact BB was such a phenomenon for so long that its now actually just settled into its timeslot, 4-5 million is a good average for channel4 if not a brilliant average.

You all too wrapped up in the glory years and now any BB doesnt stand a chance because you comparing it to Past BB's

Fact is weve seen BB reach its best, It wont ever get be fresh or original, hyou just gotta be happy with consistancy and a new cast.

The producers arent killing the show, The fans and the tabloids are.

Moreso the fans who seem to have completely given up hope.

Big brother is my entire summer, please dont kill it off because i can guarantee, once its gone you'll all miss it and be campaigning to get it back. You say you wont but you will!

jaybitches 08-05-2009 06:47 PM

Agree lool

People base what they think of what the ratings say, not by that they think

BIG-BRO-FAN 08-05-2009 06:49 PM

BB hasn't even started yet.

Ratings are fine, its a normal size rating for channel4.

Your just going off when big brother was a sensation, its now just a staple in the schedule and im fine with that i dont need it to be at 9-10 million viewers

I agree with you,I think it's great and I love to have a gamble on the eventual winner as well although to be honest i've never picked a winner as yet :bawling:

Jen 08-05-2009 07:06 PM

Ugh. I hate BB now.

Conor 08-05-2009 07:20 PM

Wont miss it. Gave up after BB8 and havent watched sinse then. And it is the producers faults. Theres a reason why the newer series are compared to the older ones...

Lewis. 08-05-2009 07:21 PM

I still love Big Brother!

elliebrew 08-05-2009 07:24 PM

What have the producers done exactly conor?

Scarlett. 08-05-2009 07:28 PM

Will I miss it? Thats news to me

Conor 08-05-2009 07:29 PM

Pick boring/uninteresting housemates. Try to play on the safe side now. Cram in pointless confusing gimmicks. Use undynamic and boring twists that dont shock anyone any more. Have became predictable. Recycle tasks and twists from BB abroad and even older UK series. Ignore fans wants. They dont even care any more.

elliebrew 08-05-2009 07:43 PM

Pick boring/uninteresting housemates.
Wel thats a matter of opinion, I doubt very much they set out with the intention of choosing boring housemates. The selection process doesnt allow them to see the candidates in a normal setting so only time tells if a person is uninteresting. What we see on launch night is what the producers have seen through the audition process.

Try to play on the safe side now. Cram in pointless confusing gimmicks.
Could you do any better?

Use undynamic and boring twists that dont shock anyone any more. Have became predictable.
Theyre only predictable because your second guessing, and you say 'have been seen before' Your never going to get anything new and fresh with a twist. Your not going to shock an audience anymore because weve seen it all. The best we can hope is to shock and suprise the housemates and enjoy the fallout. The reactions of the housemates is what will keep things interesting.

Recycle tasks and twists from BB abroad and even older UK series.
Again theres only so much you can do with a format.

Ignore fans wants.
What do the fans want?

They dont even care any more
I very much doubt it, Big Brother is the flagship reality tv show of all time and channel4s Baby, why wouldnt they care.

jaybitches 08-05-2009 07:44 PM

what does "flagship mean"

Tom4784 08-05-2009 07:51 PM

I'm not excited for it, I'll watch it when it's on but I won't be as fervent as I once was for it. If it's a good series then great but I think it'll be like other recent series, good but tired.

Once a show loses it's freshness and becomes stale it fails simple as, it's up to the producers to try and keep the concept fresh and they've done a poor job as they've been too scared to return to the days of old due to the shadow of Ofcom.

MarkWaldorf 08-05-2009 08:10 PM

It's called an opinion. Learn to accept one.

elliebrew 08-05-2009 08:10 PM

'Scared to return to the days of old due to the shadow of Ofcom'

Thats because as soon as somone does or anything remotely controversial you all fone in in droves....then once uve done complaining and squeezing the life out of things you moan because noones saying or doing anything controversial....its stupid

Tom4784 08-05-2009 08:41 PM

Yes because I personally stirred up the race row... BB is old, it can't flourish anymore due to the Daily Mail and it's army of sheep. CBB6 was awful and dull and I'm betting BB10 will be the same, if it's good then bonus but chances are it won't be.

Like I said before it's a tired show that's stale due to bad producing. Good shows don't become stale, since good management and planning prevents this. BB has neither and hasn't had it since BB7. It may very well be your favourite show but a lot of people are tired of it. Everything has a lifespan and BB's is probably gonna be up next year.

Brekkie 08-05-2009 08:44 PM

Already miss the Big Brother I knew and loved. It's what we're likely to get served up this year which I won't miss.
